The right-handed batter of the Indian side, Virat Kohli, was in excellent touch with two centuries in the first couple of games of the three-match series against South Africa at home. When he walked out to bat in the 271-run chase, the hosts had already gone off to a flying start with a 155-run opening stand.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, having just celebrated his maiden ODI half-century, started to unleash his beast form and smash the big shots around the park. Kohli continued his routine from the series and remained undefeated on 65 runs in 45 balls at a strike rate of 144.44 as India completed the chase by nine wickets with more than 10 overs to spare to win the series by a 2-1 margin.

After the end of the game, Arshdeep Singh wondered if Kohli could have smashed another century in the third game. To answer this, the Delhi-born said, “toss jith gaye, warna teri bhi century pakki thi ish dew mey’ when Arshdeep asked, “paji run kam rahe gaye, warna century pakki thi aj.”

Kohli ended with 302 runs in the series at an average of 151. He has now notched up two centuries and two unbeaten fifties in his last four innings of the 50-over format.

“When I play freely, then I know I can hit sixes. So, I just wanted to have some fun because I was batting well, just take a bit more risk. Just push my own boundaries and see where we go. There are always levels you can unlock, and you just need to take a risk.” Kohli expressed during the interaction.

“The first one at Ranchi because I hadn't played a game since Australia. Just to come out, and you know when you start hitting the ball well. And also, just how your energy is on the day. You just feel so confident about taking risks. And when they come off, of course, it unlocks, as I said, that zone as a batsman which you are craving for. So, Ranchi was very special for me because it just opened me up in a way that I haven't felt for a while.” The Delhi batter addressed.
