India’s off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar delivered a game-changing moment on Day 4 of the third Test at Lord’s by dismissing England captain Ben Stokes for 33. The key breakthrough came in the 55th over of England’s second innings, as Sundar bowled a length delivery that skidded off the surface. Stokes tried a slog sweep but missed it completely, as the ball slipped under his bat and crashed into the middle stump. With his wicket, England lost their last recognized batter and were left reeling.

This wicket was Sundar's third big breakthrough of the innings. He had previously dismissed Joe Root for 40 and Jamie Smith for 8, displaying great control and guile throughout his spell. Sundar also contributed nicely with the bat, scoring 23 runs in India's first innings to allow his team to equal England's total of 387.
