AUSCH vs WICH match 7

Australia Champions won their first match of the 2025 World Champions League (WCL) by a comprehensive 8-wicket margin against West Indies Champions in Match 7 at the County Ground, Northampton. Having chosen to bowl first, the Aussies restricted the West Indies to 142/8, with 3/28 from Peter Siddle. Nathan Coulter-Nile (2/21) and Brett Lee (1/20) also gave great support as no Windies batter reached 30.

Australia Champions chased down the target in 9.3 overs, an explosive knock of 81 in 27 balls by Chris Lynn and a quick 30 in 9 by Ben Dunk.
Their aggressive play left Windies bowlers with no answer, as the chase was achieved with 63 balls remaining.

This convincing victory helped Australia move to second position on the points table with 3 points and an enormous Net Run Rate (NRR) of +7.953. West Indies fell to fourth place with 2 points from 3 matches and an NRR of -2.418.
