Australia and the West Indies will be playing together in the Whites from June 25 for the First Test, Frank Worrell Trophy. Australia, the finalist and the runner-up of the recently concluded World Test Championship cycle, will look to regain their regime. Keeping the target in front, Pat Cummins's side will definitely want to start their new WTC cycle with a win.

Before the first Test match, which is scheduled to be held in Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, Cricket Australia has made a couple of changes in the squad. Their star batter, Steve Smith, will miss the charming vibe of Barbados because of his injured finger. Along with Smith, Marnus Labuschagne is also dropped from the series. 

On the other side, the home team, West Indies, will enter the new World Test Championship with a new captain and potentially a new wicketkeeper, with Roston Chase and Shai Hope recalled for the series against Australia. Hope can play an important role in the contest for the West Indies. He finds his place in the squad after the exclusion of Joshua Da Silva. Left-handed middle-order batter Alick Athanaze was also dropped from the squad.
