Virat Kohli’s brother takes brutal dig at BCCI.

The former India captain Virat Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli, took an indirect tig at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the management of the Blue Brigade as the team continued to struggle with the bat during the second Test of the series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Proteas won the opening game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata by 30 runs and went 1-0 up in the series.

In his recent Threads post, Vikas raised a question on the changes implemented under the current management, which suggested that the unnecessary interference disrupted the current management and delivered poor results in the longes format, where India used to fly with colorful results in the last few years.

Vikas didn’t mention the name of the head coach- Gautam Gambhir- by name, but the massage could be interpreted as the reference of the coach and the shift in approach since he took charge of the side last year. The current management has Suryakumar Yadav as the captain of the T20I side while the BCCI selection committee, under Ajit Agarkar, recently named Shubman Gill as the ODI captain along with Test captaincy.

This red-ball shift came after the two former captains and the veterans- Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli- decided to hang up their red-ball boots during the IPL 2026 just ahead of the England trip. It brought a wholesome change in the balance of the side.

Under Gambhir, India suffered their first how Test series white-wash by 3-0 margin against New Zealand last year and is on the verge of another such record during the ongoing South Africa series.
