During the 2022 Guwahati T20I between India vs South Africa, which was the second game of the three-match T20I series with India leading by 1-0, Suryakumar Yadav slammed an 18-ball fifty. SKY hit five fours and four sixes to reach that half-century.

KL Rahul: 18 balls vs Scotland (Dubai 2021)

It was the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 second round group stage match, where India faced Scotland in the crucial encounter. While Scotland were bundled out for only 85 runs, Indian opener KL Rahul slammed an 18-ball 50 with the help of six fours and three sixes, as India chased down the paltry target in just 6.3 overs after losing two wickets.

Abhishek Sharma: 17 balls vs England (Mumbai 2025)

While the hosts India were leading the five-match T20I series against England by 3-1, it was the last game of the series, where Abhishek Sharma provided a powerful start with a 17-ball fifty, where he hit three fours and four sixes. He later scored 135 off 54 balls, India's highest T20I score, with the help of seven fours and 13 sixes.

Hardik Pandya: 16 balls vs South Africa (Ahmedabad 2025)

It was the last game of the five-match T20I series between India and South Africa at Ahmedabad, where India were leading by 2-1. Coming to bat at no.5 in the 13th over, Hardik Pandya started with a six, which was just an example of what would happen in that innings. With the help of four fours and five sixes, Hardik completed his half-century in just 16 balls to record India's second-fastest T20I half-century.

Yuvraj Singh: 12 balls vs England (Durban 2007)

It was the key Super Eight fixture in the inaugural ICC World T20 (2007), where India and England faced each other. While India batted first, both openers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag provided a powerful start with their half-centuries, but Yuvraj Singh was the show. The left-handed middle-order batter slammed six sixes in an over to English pacer Stuart Broad, and the last six of that over was Yuvraj's completion of the historic 50 runs in just 12 balls. Now, it is the second fastest half-century in T20I history, behind Nepal cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee's 9-ball 50 against Mongolia during the 2023 Asian Games.
