Virat Kohli has established himself as one of the most iconic players in the Indian Premier League, holding several remarkable records in the tournament. He currently stands as the highest run-scorer in IPL history and also holds the record for the most fours in the league with 771 of them. 

He also leads the chart for most centuries in the IPL. Notably, every run in his IPL career has come while representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru, further highlighting his long-standing association with the franchise and his legendary status in the league.

2. Shikhar Dhawan (768 Fours)

Shikhar Dhawan has also carved out a remarkable legacy in the Indian Premier League with several notable achievements across his long career. Renowned for his elegant stroke play and precise placement, Dhawan held the record for the most fours in IPL history for many years and remains second on the list with over 768 boundaries.

He is also among the leading run-scorers in the tournament, highlighting his consistency over the seasons. Impressively, Dhawan scored 400 or more runs in nine different IPL seasons, underlining his reliability at the top of the order. Another unique feat in his career is becoming the only player to score back-to-back centuries in the IPL, further cementing his status as one of the league’s most accomplished openers.


3. David Warner (663 Fours)

Much of Warner’s success came with Sunrisers Hyderabad, whom he famously led to their 2016 IPL title, further cementing his legacy as one of the league’s most accomplished overseas players.
