1. Rajinder Goel (637 Wickets)

Late Rajinder Goel, the left-arm spinner from Haryana, seals the first position of scalping the most number of wickets in this well-known Indian first-class domestic tournament. Representing over five teams (Delhi/Haryana/Patiala/Southern Punjab) in his 1958-85 career timeline, he has taken a colossal 637 wickets in just a mere 219 innings. These numbers are backed by an average of 17, 53 five-wicket hauls (5W) and 17 ten-wickets-in-a-match (10WM).


2. S Venkataraghavan (530 Wickets)

S Venkataraghavan is one of the prominent umpires and a reliable off-break bowler for his home side, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Team. In his 173-innings stint from 1963-1985, he has scalped over 530 wickets at an average of 18. In addition, he has taken 45 five-wicket hauls and 11 ten-wickets-in-a-match.


3. Sunil Joshi (479 Wickets)

Sunil Joshi played an instrumental role as a spinner for the Karnataka Cricket team from 1992 to 2011. In the long run, he took 479 wickets in 206 innings, averaging 23. Also, 27 five-wicket hauls and five ten-wickets-a-match back the numbers.


4. R Vinay Kumar (442 Wickets)

R Vinay Kumar is a name that several cricket fanatics are aware of, thanks to his impeccable stint in the IPL, especially for his everlasting contribution to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 5. Narendra Hiwani (441 Wickets)

Narendra Hiwani takes the fifth and final spot in scalping the most wickets in the Ranji Trophy. He has represented the Bengal and Madhya Pradesh teams and has played 156 innings, where he took 441 wickets. At an average of 24, his wicket-taking abilities have the numbers of 36 five-wicket hauls and seven ten-wickets-a-match, acting as the icing on the cake to his performance.
