Adani Trivandrum Royals (TR) will clash with Kochi Blue Tigers (KBT) in Match 2 of the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2025 at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday August 21. Trivandrum had the last laugh over Kochi in the last season after they won both matches they played against Kochi. Last year in their inaugural season, Trivandrum managed to win five games but also lost five games, and with a net run rate of -0.628, they want to have a better overall season. The Royals will want to show consistency this year as they want to contend for the KCL title.

On the other hand, Kochi Blue Tigers had a rough first inaugural edition of the KCL this past season as they only managed to win three out of 10 games, when they should have won more games with their severe roster. They had the ability to field two teams, their star-studded line-up with the two Samson brothers where Saly Samson was captain and Sanju Samson was vice-captain, never seemed to be able to gel together as a team. Kochi will begin their 2025 KCL season raring to go and ready to show that they are more a team and not just a roster full of stars.
