Pakistan leads the three-match series two to nil and has already won the series. Afghanistan, on the other hand, will be hoping to win this game and save face. Both of these teams met in their previous game at the Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, where Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat. Following the horror of the previous match, Afghanistan made a daring move by electing to bat. Pakistan responded well, with an opening stand of 52 runs. They appeared to be scoring at the required rate. Following a promising opening stand, it was followed by a brilliant second-wicket partnership.

AFG vs PAK Match Details

Afghanistan vs Pakistan – 3rd ODI

Venue: Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium – Hambantota

Date & Time: 26th August 2023 at 03:30 PM IST

Live Streaming: Fancode App

AFG vs PAK Venue Stats

Avg 1st inn score

332

Avg 2nd inn score

320

Win% batting 1st

52

Win% batting 2nd

48

AFG vs PAK Pitch Report

The pitch will help the spinners. Pakistan has taken an early lead in the series, leading 1-0. Afghanistan dominated with the ball early on, but their disastrous showing with the bat handed Pakistan a 142-run victory. Haris Rauf stole the show with his 5-wicket haul of 5/18, and Shaheen Afridi also returned impressive figures of 2/9 in his 4 overs to obliterate Afghanistan’s batting lineup. They were always on the back foot. Pakistan were able to reach this modest total thanks to the contributions of Shadab (32 off 25 balls with three fours) and Imad Wasim (64* off 57 balls with three fours and two sixes).
