Northern Superchargers beat Oval Invincibles by 16 runs in an exciting game at Headingley. Sam Billings chose to bowl first, but Harry Brook’s side made the most of the batting track. Zak Crawley (49 off 25) and Dawid Malan (34 off 21) gave a flying start. Captain Harry Brook then played a brilliant knock of 56 from 27 balls, while David Miller finished strong with an unbeaten 37 off just 16. Their efforts took the Superchargers to a big total of 198/4.

The Invincibles lost their top order early, but Sam Curran (30 off 19) tried to steady things. Donovan Ferreira gave hope with a quick 41 off only 15 balls, hitting big sixes, but the chase ended at 182/7. The Superchargers sealed the win, ending the Invincibles’ winning streak.

Oval Invincible showcased excellent form in this tournament, winning five out of their six matches and leading the table with 20 points. Looking at current form, the Invincibles have to be the favourites for this one.

On the other hand, Northern Superchargers had a strong run in this tournament, winning four matches and currently hold the third position in the points table with 16 points. Their last outing saw them crush London Spirit by eight wickets, chasing down the target of 136 in only 82 balls.

Rachin Ravindra gave quick runs with a fiery 31 off 14 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen smashed 50 not out from just 25 balls. Their efforts carried the Originals to a strong total of 171/3.

In reply, the Superchargers never looked comfortable. Michael Pepper fell for a duck, and wickets kept falling one after another. Only David Miller fought back with 38 runs from 22 balls, but it wasn’t enough. For the Originals, Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue picked up three wickets each, while Ravindra and Noor Ahmad took two apiece. The Superchargers were bowled out for 114, giving the Originals a huge 57-run victory and delighting the home crowd.

Trent Rockets and Northern Superchargers met in the eighth match of The Hundred 2025 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Both teams had already won a game each before this clash. Rockets kept the same team, while Superchargers brought in Graham Clark for David Miller. Captain David Willey won the toss for the Superchargers and chose to bowl first, following the trend of chasing in the tournament.

It was a rough start for the Superchargers as their top three batters fell for single-digit scores. Skipper Harry Brook fought back with 45 from 30 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. Graham Clark added a quick 36 from 22 balls, while Matthew Potts stayed not out on 12. They finished their innings at 124/9 in 100 balls.

The Rockets started well with a 57-run opening stand in 39 balls. Tom Banton scordavid ed 37 from 25 balls with seven fours, and Joe Root made 20 from 17 balls. Imad Wasim took both their wickets, but Rehan Ahmed’s big hit over the ropes sealed the chase as Rockets won with four balls to spare.

In June 2024, Estonia’s Sahil Chauhan achieved the rare feat of scoring the fastest T20I century. He achieved this feat against Cyprus and took just 27 balls to reach the three figure mark. He overtook the previous record set by Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton of Namibia, who had scored a century in 33 balls. Chauhan’s innings was laced by a whopping 18 sixes and this is also the record for most sixes in a T20I game by a batter. 

Keeping the associated nations players out of the list and focusing on the full time Test playing nations, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza tops the list with his 33-ball century against Gambia. He achieved this milestone in October 2024 and remained unbeaten on 133 off 43 balls. His innings was comprised of 7 fours and 15 sixes as Zimbabwe went onto post their highest T20I total, thanks to Raza’s innings.

Fastest T20I centuries between two full time Test playing nations

Taking two full time Test playing nations into contention, the list is topped by none other than South Africa’s power hitter David Miller. Miller scored a 35-ball century against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom in October 2017. He remained unbeaten on 101 off just 36 deliveries with 7 boundaries and nine maximums as South Africa posted 224 and won the game by 83 runs. This was also Miller's maiden hundred in T20Is and brought up in some style.  He ended with a strike rate of 280.56 against the experienced bowling lineup of Bangladesh. With this win, South Africa managed to whitewash touring Bangladesh in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. 

Next to Miller is India’s ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, who scored the fastest century for India in T20Is in December 2017. He achieved this feat against Sri Lanka by scoring a hundred in just 35 deliveries in Indore. He ended up with a score of 118 in just 43 deliveries comprised of 12 fours and 10 sixes and strike rate of 274.41.

The 41-year-old former West Indian all-rounder has taken 275 catches in 582 T20 games with his lightning-quick fielding. Bravo's ability to anticipate and time his jump perfectly is simply amazing.

5.Glenn Maxwell (244 catches in 472 T20 games)-

Maxwell's athleticism is second to none as the Australian right-hander has taken some brilliant catches at point as well as the covers area. Maxwell can destroy the best bowling line-ups on his day with his destructive batting, but as a fielder, he is equally brilliant. The latest chat buster show has been released on LSG's official Twitter page website where a host asks Miller to pick his most heartbreak moment which had games like the T20 World Cup and 2023 IPL Final. It was not yet understandable on what basis this question was asked to him. For every player emotional constrain are the same and asking him this type of question and making him feel guilty fact was the most utter one. 

Once the video reached to consderable audience then it was backfired misreably where LSG was lashed badly for hurting the sentiments of miller. Miller have been an intergral part of South Africa team and has been the back of every franchise which he has played for, this year David Miller has been bought by Lucknow Super Gaints at the price of 7.5 crore.

Questions For Miller And The Public Outrage

Miller has played several important innings and some have been successful and some have been wrenched in his efforts. Likewise in the video, he was asked by the anchor   Miller to pick out his worst heartbreaks. Which started from the IPL 2014 final which was between Punjab vs Kolkata where Kolkata won their second title by beating Punjab, at that time Miller was part of Kings xi Punjab. The second one was when he was associated with GT in 2023 where Csk beat them at the final ball while last year they were the champions of Ipl 2022.

Then the question was even more pathetic when he was asked to choose among losses suffered in World Cups, such as the T20 World Cup 2024 final. It has gained wide spread criticism to the franchise for defaming their player like this.

As a sports lover though which team you support or wherever the player belongs to, his efforts and dedication must be appreciated and Miller's efforts have been tirelessly awesome with the passion he plays the game. It was his bad luck on that day and luckily Surya Kumar caught Miller in the thrilling contest, what if it had not happened? Miller would have won the trophy for  South Africa. It was the best efforts of the Indian team that they removed him as the danger preceded them more.

The worst part is that even after heavy backlash the video hasn't been removed from their Twitter site. And people have been lambasting the franchise. Even some of them said this franchise was going to pay the price for what they did. 

In IPL it is hard to survive as a batsman you should possess definite skill and temperament to deal the world-class bowlers. You need to set your standard so high and have to understand that you are always replaceable. IPL provides opportunities to talent those, who grab it shine a lot and even play for the country but it's not standard criteria. As a batsman, you should have quality in batting and the destructive approach of acceleration which is required in this format.

4.  Number one on our list is Australia's World Cup hero Travis Head who just smashed 102 runs in 41 balls Srh batting lineup is something you never would like to face as a bowler. Right from Travis Head to Klassen it looks like absolute destruction. This century of Travis Head came against Royal Challengers Banglore at Chinnaswamy stadium. Head struck three boundaries to Vishak in 12 over and completed his century. He scored it in 35 balls and became the fourth batsman to hit the fastest century.

3. Number 3 on our list our very own South African batsman killer Miller who scored a century against RCB in 2013 facing only 38 balls. It was bitter match for Punjab as they lost six matches in a row and to be in the competion they had to win this game where else RCB came at Mohali winning 6 of their games.

It was good nice batting track where RCB posted the Mamoth score of 190 already struggling Kings xi Punjab had no idea how they could chase this. Then came the hero Miller who just flourished RCB bowlers here and there. He completed his century in just 38 balls paving the victory way for Punjab and David Miller Miller became the third batsman who had hitted the third fastest century. 

2. Yusuf Pathan

 Number 2 on our list is our very own Yusuf Pathan who doesn't know him and his ability of power hitting which he displayed against Mumbai Indians in 2010. It was Mumbai who won the toss and chose to bat first and posted a total of 212. Rajasthan had bad luck in chasing as they lost early wickets. 

After that here comes Yusuf Pathan and started hitting ruthlessly he was never in a mood to spare anyone, whoever comes on the way became the victim of Yusuf Pathan. But the sad thing was at other end wickets we're trembling where he didn't get a stablised partner still he scored a100 in 37 balls but unfortunately he was run out and Royals lost the match by 4 runs. Still Yusuf century is the second fastest century of IPL. 

1 Chris Gayle 

  Number one on our list is our Jamaican king Chris Gayle. At that time Chris was at the peak of his career, it was the match between RCB and PWI(Pune Warriors). Banglore was opted to Bat first by Pune and that might be the worst decision they would have made. Gayle started slowly but after the third ball punishment he gave was brutal. 

Bowlers like Dinda and others wouldn't have expected this type of treatment the faster they bowled the faster Gayle dispatched. It was just irresistible, Gayle completed his century in just 30 balls which is the fastest century by any batsman and it's been 12 years of it and no one dared to break it. It was 167 runs of opening partnership. Banglore scored an ODI total of 263 runs which was never the target for Pune who perished in 133. But that brutal innings of Chris Gayle is still remembered.
