Finally, after weeks of speculation, the schedule for the 17th edition of the Asia Cup 2025 has been announced, generating excitement among cricket fans in Pakistan and beyond. While India was initially declared the official host, political tensions between India and Pakistan have led to a shift in venue. As a result, all matches are now likely to take place at neutral venues in the UAE, specifically in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. India will still retain its hosting rights despite the relocation.

Pakistan enters this tournament on strong hopes of restoring past glory.
The Men in Green won their last Asia Cup in 2012 with Misbah-ul-Haq as captain. In 2023, Pakistan started with great hopes but could not reach the final following losses to India and Sri Lanka in the Super Four phase. Having lifted the trophy twice (in 2000 and 2012), Pakistan remains one of the strongest sides in the competition’s history and will be looking to end their 13-year title drought.

Pakistan’s Asia Cup 2025 Schedule

The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to be played in the T20 format and will run from September 9 to September 28. As per the schedule, Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Oman, and the UAE. Group B, on the other hand, includes the quartet of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong. With the top two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four, and the best two from there moving on to the final. Below are Pakistan’s upcoming matches in the group stage of the 2025 Asia Cup:

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 will return for its 13th edition! Another excitement-filled season of thrilling T20 cricket is on the way! The tournament starts on 14 August 2025 and goes until 21 September 2025 in several Caribbean countries.

The CPL 2025 draft was held on 18 June, where teams completed their squads by retaining core players and adding new talent, including overseas stars and breakout Caribbean prospects. A key addition to the format this season is the mandate that each team must field at least one player from the West Indies Breakout League in every match. The tournament will kick off in St Kitts & Nevis, with the final set to be played in Guyana, giving local fans a grand stage finish.

This year, matches will be held at seven venues across six Caribbean countries. Trinidad and Tobago is the only nation hosting matches at two different stadiums. The confirmed CPL 2025 venues are Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (Antigua), Kensington Oval (Barbados), Providence Stadium (Guyana), Warner Park (St Kitts), Daren Sammy Cricket Ground (Saint Lucia), Brian Lara Cricket Academy, and Queen’s Park Oval (both in Trinidad).

Live telecast and streaming rights for CPL 2025 are likely to remain with Star Sports Network and FanCode App in India, continuing from last year’s coverage. In the Caribbean, matches are expected to be shown on SportsMax, while fans in the UK can follow on BT Sport and in the USA via Willow TV.
