The Women’s Big Bash League 2025 is heading into Match No. 19 on Saturday, 22nd November, between Hobart Hurricanes Women, or HH-W, and Sydney Sixers Women, shortened as SS-W, which will be played at Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Both teams will look to strengthen their positions as the tournament moves forward.

The Hobart Hurricanes Women have been absolutely outstanding this season. They have won five matches in a row and are sitting at the top of the points table. In the earlier meeting between the two sides, Hobart managed a comfortable six-wicket win on the back of strong bowling from Hayley Silver-Holmes and decent contributions from their batters. They would like to extend their winning streak and take home another victory.

The Sydney Sixers Women enter the match with a dose of disappointment after losing their last outing against Melbourne Stars Women by 111 runs. The Sixers currently lie in fifth position on the points table, having secured two wins in four matches. They would be looking to bounce back and put up a stronger show against the table-topping Hurricanes.

HH-W vs SS-W: Pitch Report

The pitch at the Bellerive Oval is traditionally not very easy for batting, especially early in the innings. Fast bowlers enjoy good movement with the new ball. However, once the power play is over, the pitch becomes better for batting because of its true bounce. Batters who settle in can score freely later in the innings. Teams will need to adjust quickly to the conditions at the start.
