After the match, they showed their dancing skills on the ground. A video of the Pakistan cricket team dancing is viral on social media platforms.

According to the video, Team Pakistan is dancing with the massively famous soundtrack from the Bollywood movie 'Dhurandhar'. Previously, during the Asia Cup U-19 tournament, when Bangladesh got a dominating win over their archrival Sri Lanka, the youth team of Bangladesh celebrated the occasion with the same soundtrack. At the end of the year, the soundtrack is being used everywhere to mark a special occasion.

Pakistan defeated India by 191 runs in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 at the ICC Academy Ground. The Pakistan cricket team registered a huge total of 347 runs against India, batting first. India, when it went to chase the target, showed intent to play an aggressive brand of cricket, but that did not work. India could score only 156 runs against all of their ten wickets. A dominating victory for the Pakistan youth team.

Indian Opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi lost his calm during the U19 Asia Cup final against Pakistan at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai on December 21. Chasing a big target of 348 runs, the 14-year-old started in an attacking style. However, he could not continue the momentum and got out for 26 runs off just 10 balls. Ali Raza took the key wicket.

After dismissing Suryavanshi, Ali Raza celebrated in an aggressive manner and stared at the young Indian batter. In response, Suryavanshi pointed towards his shoe while saying something to the bowler before walking away. The incident was caught on camera, and the video quickly went viral on social media. Many fans felt the gesture looked disrespectful.

Earlier, Pakistan U19 batted first after India won the toss. It turned into a batting show led by Sameer Minhas. The 19-year-old played a brilliant knock, scoring 172 runs off 113 balls, which helped Pakistan post a huge total.

India’s chase began with positive intent as Vaibhav Suryavanshi came out attacking. The young opener raced to 26 runs off just nine balls, hitting one four and three big sixes.

However, the strong start ended suddenly. Vaibhav went for another aggressive shot but failed to connect and lost his wicket to Ali Raza.

What followed shocked fans. Raza celebrated aggressively and gave Vaibhav a fiery send-off, which did not sit well with the Indian batter. Vaibhav reacted immediately and exchanged words with Raza and other Pakistan players while walking back. He was also seen making gestures and pointing towards his shoe, which further heated the moment.

The umpires stepped in to calm the situation as tensions rose on the field.

India was eventually bowled out for 156 runs, losing the match by a huge margin of 191 runs.

Ali Raza starred with the ball, picking up four wickets in the final. Mohammad Sayyam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ahsan took two wickets each. For India, Deepesh Devendran was the top scorer, smashing 36 runs off 16 balls. He was dismissed by Raza on the final ball of the match.

A special innings in the final of the Asia Cup U-19 from a special player of Pakistan. Against India, the emerging Pakistani batter registered 172 (113) with 17 boundaries and 9 sixes. A video of his batting highlights in the match is attached with this article below.

The Asia Cup Under-19 has discovered multiple raw talents across the nations. As India and Pakistan are the two cricketing giants in Asia, naturally expectations were higher for these two teams. Because of the Indian Premier League, the cricket fraternity came to know about multiple under-19 Indian talents, but the way the youth team of Pakistan performed in the Asia Cup U-19 was stunning. Especially Sameer Minhas. When the right-handed batter was in the middle, commentators compared his quick hands with former Pakistan batter Saeed Anwar.

Sameer started his batting against India in the summit clash in a watchful manner. After a few dot balls, he made his intentions clear: scoring as many runs as possible. India had an early chance to dismiss the batter, but the fielder near the rope was unable to adjust himself to grab the ball. After that, it was a non-stop show from Sameer. He used his wrists, he used his techniques, he found gaps, and he took the aerial routes as well to accumulate runs.

With the sublime 172-run knock from Sameer Minhas, Pakistan was on top of a mountain of runs, registering 347/8 in 50 overs.

Who is Sameer Minhas?

Sameer Minhas has drawn attention partly because he comes from a family deeply engaged with cricket. He is widely recognized as the younger brother of Arafat Minhas, who represented Pakistan Under-19 in the 2024 World Cup and has built a growing reputation in youth cricket. This connection suggests that Sameer has been exposed to a strong cricketing environment from an early age, likely benefiting from both guidance and inspiration within his household. His background reflects the influence of a family passionate about nurturing talent and encouraging involvement in the sport.

Although India's sensational teenage opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed cheaply, India U19 thrashed Pakistan U19 in their group stage encounter in the U19 Asia Cup 2025.

In this Group A contest, Pakistan U19 chose to field first. The India U19 team maintained the no-handshake status with their opponents Pakistan team. While the Indian team was all out for 240 runs in the 49-over encounter, Pakistan were bundled out for only 150 runs, as India U19 won the match by 90 runs.

Aaron George and Kanishk Chouhan played valuable knocks after captain Ayush Mhatre's quick start

Although Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for only five runs in the fourth over of the match, captain Ayush Mhatre and Aaron George provided a solid start with a quick-fire 49-run partnership in 6.3 overs for the second wicket. Since the skipper and opener Mhatre was out for 38 off 25 balls with four fours and three sixes, India U19 were losing wickets at regular intervals.

However, Aaron George was handling the pressure on the other end with his effective batting. Before the no.3 batter was dismissed in the 32nd over, Aaron scored 85 off 88 balls with 12 fours and one six.

In the late part of the first innings, Kanishk Chouhan played a useful knock of run-a-ball 46 runs with two fours and three sixes, which helped the Indian lads to manage a challenging total.

Among the Pakistan bowlers, Mohammad Sayyam (3/67) and Abdul Subhan (3/42) picked up three wickets each, while the best economical Niqab Shafiq (2/38) got two wickets.

Kanishk Chouhan shone with ball too, while Huzaifa Ahsan was lone fighter

In chase, only Huzaifa Ahsan managed to produce some fight back with 70 runs off 83 balls with nine fours and two sixes, but there was no proper support for him from the other end. Apart from Huzaifa, only the skipper Farhan Yousaf (23) managed to reach the 20-run mark in that innings.

Among the Indian bowlers, Deepesh Devendran (3/16) and Kanishk Chouhan (3/33) took three wickets each, while Kishan Singh (2/33) got two wickets. Kanishk won the Player of the Match award for his brilliant all-round performance as he scored 46 runs and took three wickets (3/33) to assure a comfortable win for India U19.

<![CDATA[IND vs PAK, Asia Cup U 19: 3 points which prove Aaron George is serious talent like Sanju Samson]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ind-vs-pak-asia-cup-u-19-3-points-which-prove-aaron-george-is-serious-talent-like-sanju-samson/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ind-vs-pak-asia-cup-u-19-3-points-which-prove-aaron-george-is-serious-talent-like-sanju-samson/ Sun, 14 Dec 2025 14:59:10 GMT

Does India get their next Sanju Samson? The cricket community is in awe after watching a standout batting display by a young Aaron George against a well-controlled Pakistan bowling attack on Sunday in the Asia Cup U-19 match in Dubai.

Unlike a flat Dubai surface, the Pakistan pace bowlers were getting ample amounts of assistance from the pitch. With extra bounce and pace, Pakistan U-19 bowlers quickly dispatched two hard hitters—Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre—in the 50-over match. India Under-19 was uncertain after the falls of those two batters.

When Pakistan bowlers were in full charge, Aaron remained like a rock in the middle. Instead of playing flashy shots, his matured knock relied on technique. While Suryavanshi or Mhatre loved to play with brute force, Aaron added runs with proper timing and footwork. His batting style can remind one of Sanju Samson, who also used to accumulate runs with proper cricketing shots without making any hurry. India U-19 needed someone who could play an anchor role, and Aaron did that precisely. With a high bat lift, he was effective against the Pakistani pacers who were getting extra elevation from the surface.

Aaron George: next Sanju Samson of India?

The 19-year-old fell short of a well-deserved century as he had to head back to the pavilion after playing 88 balls and an 85-run knock. His innings was laced with one six and 12 boundaries. During the 85-run innings, he first stitched a 49-run partnership with the skipper Ayush Mhatre, and then for the fifth wicket, he crafted a crucial 60-run partnership with Abhigyan Kundu.

George’s innings came to an end when Pakistan fast bowler Abdul Subhan tested him with a bouncer. Because of Aaron's well-timed knock, India, batting first, registered 240 runs in 46.1 overs against 10 wickets.

Pakistan Under-19 is looking well controlled with their emerging pacer Mohammad Sayyam, as he picked up two crucial wickets. After departing Vaibhav Suryavanshi, he took the important wicket of India Under-19 captain Ayush Mhatre and broke a crucial partnership.

Mhatre and Aaron George were stitching a partnership to stabilize the innings while Sayyam got the breakthrough. Mhatre went for 38 off 25 with four boundaries and three over-boundaries. He played the wrong shot when the partnership was on 49.

The pacer delivered a short pitch, angled out the ball, after which the batter tried to swing the bat across. The ball went high in the air as the connection was not appropriate. The keeper ran back and collected the ball nicely. A good-length ball followed by a well-running catch by keeper Hamza Zahoor forced Mhatre to go back in the dugout. This wicket can be a decisive factor in the India vs Pakistan Under-19 Asia Cup match. India is down by two wickets for 78.

Watch the dismissal of Ayush Mhatre in IND vs PAK U19 Asia Cup match

Mhatre departed for 38; Suryavanshi got only 5 runs. Pakistan's young guns are firing at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai Sports City, UAE. The 18-year-old Ayush Mhatre has been struggling with his form for India. In the previous match, he scored only 4 runs and lost the wicket. Today, he started off the things nicely, hitting the first over-boundary of the match. But he will have to work on temperament to justify his talent.

Before the dismissal in today's match, he was out of strike for a significant time. Which perhaps annoyed him and forced him to play the wild shot. He could guide them comfortably on the off side or could leave comfortably. But in a hurry, he made the wrong call.

Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha believes that the national squad will not see major changes before the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will take place from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka. He feels the team will look very similar to the current lineup, as players have already been assigned clear roles in the 20-over format.

Agha explained that every member of the squad has been given a specific responsibility over the past months, and he expects them to continue fulfilling these roles as the tournament approaches. He expressed confidence in the current combination and hopes the team will carry forward the momentum built recently.

The Pakistan skipper also spoke about his larger ambitions as a leader and shared his dream of winning both upcoming white-ball World Cups. While he was all praise for the direction the team is taking, he did say that there is scope for improvement.

Salman Ali Agha Aims for Back-to-Back World Cup Glory

Agha said on the PCB podcast, "In my personal opinion, I don't see any major changes in the national T20 squad before the World Cup. I think the current combination we have will be the one we will have in the World Cup. Every player has been given a specific role in recent months, and with that, the team has moved forward." He added that Pakistan need to continue developing to reach the level expected by fans worldwide.

He further shared his long-term vision: "I want us to win the 2026 T20 World Cup and then the 2027 ODI World Cup. Winning both World Cups is my dream; if it happens, I will be very happy… The team is on the right track, but there is still room for improvement. We want Pakistan to reach the level where everyone hopes to see it." Pakistan have played several T20I series recently, and for the 2026 T20 World Cup, they are grouped with India, Namibia, Netherlands and USA, with all their matches scheduled in Sri Lanka.

The ICC has officially released the schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tournament will be held across the two countries for the very first time. India competes in this year's competition as defending champions after defeating South Africa in the 2024 final. The format of the event will be similar to the last one, with the first round of the group stage taking place among 20 teams, leading into the Super Eight round and then the knockout stage.

Matches will be played across five Indian cities Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai, and two Sri Lankan cities, Colombo and Kandy. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the final unless Pakistan qualifies, in which case the final will be played in Colombo. Due to political reasons, Pakistan will play all their matches, including the India vs Pakistan clash on February 15, in Sri Lanka. India is set to start their campaign on February 7 against the USA in Mumbai. Sri Lanka will also host Pakistan’s group fixtures at Pallekele and Colombo.

A total of 20 teams have secured their spots for the 2026 edition. Besides hosts India and Sri Lanka, teams qualify via the 2024 World Cup, T20I rankings, and regional tournaments. These range from strong teams like Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan to emerging teams like Nepal, Italy, Oman, UAE, and Canada. The format remains competitive and pretty balanced, with all teams getting a fair chance through the group stage and Super Eight rounds.

Total, 40 group-stage matches will be played from February 7 to 20, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Eights, starting on February 21. The best four teams then qualify for the semi-finals, to be held in either Kolkata or Colombo, and in Mumbai. The grand final will take place on March 8 in Ahmedabad, or in Colombo if Pakistan qualifies.
