MI Cape Town, the defending champions, will start their title defence against Durban’s Super Giants on Friday, December 26, 2025. The match will be played at the beautiful Newlands ground in Cape Town. It’s set to be an exciting start to South Africa’s top T20 league. The Boxing Day match will kick off the holiday season in style, with plenty of action for cricket fans in South Africa, India, and all over the world.

SA20 Season 4 Schedule Is Out – Opener at Newlands

On Saturday, December 27, there will be the first double-header of the season. Centurion will see Pretoria Capitals play Joburg Super Kings, while Paarl Royals face Sunrisers Eastern Cape at Boland Park in Paarl. Durban’s Kingsmead Stadium will be busy just before New Year’s. It will host MI Cape Town on December 28 and Joburg Super Kings on December 30. New Year’s Eve, December 31, will have two big games. Sunrisers Eastern Cape will play Paarl Royals at St. George’s Park in Gqeberha. Later, MI Cape Town will face Pretoria Capitals at Newlands. This match will start at 9 PM IST.

The fun continues on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026. Joburg Super Kings will take on Durban’s Super Giants at the Wanderers in Johannesburg. League boss Graeme Smith said announcing the fixtures is a big step. “We’ve planned it so families can enjoy cricket during the holidays.
