Amo Sharks won the Shpageeza Cricket League 2025 for the second time after a dominant 8-wicket victory against Mis-e-Ainak Knights in the final at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. The Sharks decided to bowl first and bowled the Knights out for just 121 runs in 16.2 overs before they comfortably chased the target in only 12.4 overs.

Mis-e-Ainak Knights Innings

Mis-e-Ainak Knights got off to a brisk start thanks to skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who smashed 48 off just 21 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours. However, the rest of the batting crumbled under pressure, with only Mujeeb-ur-Rahman (14 off 10) and Khalid Taniwal (11 off 8) managing double digits. Amo Sharks’ captain Azmatullah Omarzai led from the front with a sensational spell of 4/21 in 3.2 overs. He was well supported by Abdullah Ahmadzai (3/21) and Qais Ahmad (1/12), as Mis Ainak were bundled out for a modest 121.

Amo Sharks Innings

In reply, Amo Sharks made light work of the chase. Hassan Eisakhel played a match-winning knock, scoring a rapid 50 off 34 balls. He was well partnered by Noor ul Rahman, who struck 35 from 23, and Mohammad Ishaq, who remained unbeaten on 25 off 13 balls. Despite Mujeeb-ur-Rahman picking up 1/34 and Khalil Taniwal getting 1/12, the Knights couldn’t prevent the inevitable. Amo Sharks chased down the target in just 12.4 overs, finishing at 124/2 and sealing the title in style.

Azmatullah Omarzai’s 4-wicket haul was a game-changer, and the top order took care of the chase without any trouble.
The perfect all-round show gave Amo Sharks a title they really deserved and also ended Mis-e-Ainak Knights’ campaign on a disappointing note.

Amo Sharks played Boost Defenders in Match 17 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. The Boost Defenders won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Sharks struggled with the bat, but their bowlers were phenomenal and bowled out the Defenders for just 51 runs to ease to a 77-run victory and move from also-ran to serious contenders for a spot in the finals.

Amo Sharks Innings

The Amo Sharks began to bat cautiously as opener Samiullah Shinwari played a solid hand at the top of the order. His 49 off 34 balls held the innings together as batters continued to fall at the other end. Mohammad Ishaq (26 off 22) and Shahidullah Kamal (18 off 16) added some useful runs, but the Sharks found it tough to build any significant partnerships. Boost Defenders bowled with discipline and control, not allowing any batter to settle. Wahidullah Zadran was the pick of the bowlers with 4/22 in his full quota, dismantling the Sharks’ middle order. Abdul Rahman Rahmani (1/19) and Azim Zadran (1/19) applied further pressure to bowl the Sharks out for 128 in 19.4 overs.

Boost Defenders Innings

Chasing 129 for victory, the Boost Defenders endured a horrific collapse right from the outset. None of the batters could find rhythm, with only three players—Karim Janat (14 off 6), Ibrahim Zadran (12 off 15), and Bilal Ahmad Tarin (11 off 12)—reaching double figures. Amo Sharks bowling was merciless, with Abdullah Ahmadzai spearheading the attack with a phenomenal spell of 4/7 in 3 overs. Yamin Ahmadzai (3/10) and Sharafuddin Ashraf (2/28) were great support to finish the innings in 11 overs. Boost Defenders were bowled out for 51, giving Amo Sharks an emphatic 77-run win.

In the 16th match of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), the Speen Ghar Tigers had a thumping 50-run victory over the Mis-e-Ainak Knights at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. Mis Ainak won the toss and decided to field first, but their decision did not go as planned, as the Tigers not only set a huge target on the board but also bowled with discipline to restrict the opposition.

Speen Ghar Tigers Innings

Scoring first, the Speen Ghar Tigers made a huge total of 191/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Hazratullah Zazai was the highest scorer of the match, as he scored 50 runs off 25 balls, whereas Rahmat Shah scored 49 runs from 27 balls. Rashid Khan, the captain, made a late contribution of 24* runs from 14 balls to take the total beyond 190. Farmanullah Safi bagged 2/30 in 4 overs, and Mohammad Nabi (1/22) and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman (1/27) also got a wicket each in their 2 and 4 overs, respectively.

Mis-e-Ainak Knights Innings

Trying to reach 192, the Mis-e-Ainak Knights were not able to resist the pressure, and they could score only 141/9 in 20 overs. Farmanullah Safi tried to be the mainstay of the innings, and he contributed 37 runs off 32 balls. Mujeeb-ur-Rahman (25 off 17) and Mohammad Nabi (23 off 16), however, failed to elongate the innings. Zubaid Akbari emerged as the top wicket taker for the Tigers as he scalped 4/14 in just 2.3 overs. Ismat Alam (1/12 in 2.3 overs) and Zahir Khan (1/19 in 4 overs) also made the side comfortable by bowling with perfect line and length.

In Match 14 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, Speen Ghar Tigers took on the Amo Sharks. The Tigers won the toss and opted to take first strike to set a challenging score. The top order for the Speen Ghar Tigers contributed well, but the Amo Sharks exerted control throughout the middle overs and towards the end of the innings to restrict the Tigers to a fastidiously competitive score of 173/6 in 20 overs. In reply, the Sharks easily chased the target down in 18.4 overs, winning the match by 6 wickets.

Speen Ghar Tigers Innings

The Speen Ghar Tigers got off to a good start from Rahmat Shah, who smashed a quickfire 52 off only 33 balls. Hazratullah Zazai (40 off 27) and Darwish Rasooli (26 off 18) maintained the momentum through the middle overs, but the innings lost some steam in the final stretch. Amo Sharks’ captain Azmatullah Omarzai led from the front with figures of 3/31 in his full quota, while Abdullah Ahmadzai (2/18) and Sharafuddin Ashraf (1/38) chipped in with timely breakthroughs to prevent the Tigers from crossing the 180-mark.

Amo Sharks Innings

In reply, Amo Sharks were clinical in their chase. Opener Hassan Eisakhil laid the foundation with a fluent 54 off 38 deliveries, while Imran Mir added a quick 38 from 25 to keep the required rate in check. Mohammad Ishaq played a brisk cameo of 32 off just 20 balls to wrap up the innings with ease. The Speen Ghar Tigers attempted to counterattack with Zubaid Akbari (2/28) taking the lead for bowling, but their bowling attack was inconsistent.

In reply, captain Ibrahim Zadran knocked a fluent half-century, leading his team to a comfortable chase.

Mis-e-Ainak Knights Innings

In Match 12 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), Band-e-Amir Dragons played against Speen Ghar Tigers at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. The Dragons won the toss and chose to bat first, setting up a big total on the board. Sediqullah Atal scored a classy half-century, and Rahmanullah Zadran and skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi provided good assistance. For the Tigers, a spirited run chase was delivered with great effort from Darwish Rasooli and Ijaz Ahmadzai. The Tigers ultimately won their first match of the season by 4 wickets in a nail-biting finish.

Band-e-Amir Dragons Innings

Batting first, Band-e-Amir Dragons scored 177/7 in their 20 overs, a good start by Sediqullah Atal, who scored 55 off 38 deliveries. Rahmanullah Zadran (39 off 23) continued with the momentum with his aggressive stroke play, and Hashmatullah Shahidi contributed a quick 19 off 14 deliveries. Ismat Alam (2/20 in 2 overs) and Zahir Khan (2/38 in 4 overs), as the best bowlers from Speen Ghar, applied pressure at crucial moments of the innings. Zubaid Akbari also chipped in with a tidy over, claiming a wicket for just 13 runs.

Speen Ghar Tigers Innings

Chasing 178 for victory, the Speen Ghar Tigers showed their intent early on through opener Darwish Rasooli, who scored a brilliant 63 off 44 balls. And well supported by captain Ijaz Ahmadzai, who anchored the chase with 47* off 26 deliveries. Zubaid Akbari played a key role with his important 37 from 26 that changed the momentum in favor of the Tigers. While the Dragons' bowlers took wickets at regular intervals, they could not control the run rate. Izharulhaq Naveed (1/19 in 2 overs) was economical, but the rest of the attack could not maintain the pressure. In the 11th Match of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), Mis-e-Ainak Knights played against Amo Sharks at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. The Knights elected to bowl first and restricted the Sharks to a competitive score with tight bowling. The Knights sealed a comfortable 7-wicket win with an over to spare.

Amo Sharks Innings

Batting first, Amo Sharks posted a competitive total of 165 for 7 in their 20 overs. Imran Mir anchored the innings with a composed 47 from 37 balls, with Mohammad Ishaq contributing 34 from 28 to set up momentum in the middle overs. Captain Sharafuddin Ashraf contributed with a quick 23 off 16 balls to propel the Sharks into a late push. However, they struggled to accelerate in the death overs against disciplined bowling. Knights captain Sharafuddin Ashraf was brilliant with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 15 runs from 4 overs. Mujeeb-ur-Rahman (2/31) and Mohammad Nabi (1/21) gave support to restrict the Sharks.

Mis-e-Ainak Knights Innings

He smashed 102 not out from only 52 balls with powerful strokeplay and good timing all through the innings. The Knights’ chase was methodical, and they kept the required run rate under control from start to finish. Amo Sharks’ bowlers, despite early promise, failed to break the partnership or build pressure in the middle overs. Mis Ainak comfortably reached the target in 19 overs, winning the match by 7 wickets and climbing to the top of the points table.
