In Match 4 of the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) in 2025, Boost Defenders played against Speen Ghar Tigers at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. Choosing to bat first, The Defenders put up a commanding total courtesy of quick half centuries from Allah Noor and Karim Janat. Speen Ghar Tigers faltered under scoreboard pressure and never recovered after early bowls. Boost Defenders won by a dominant 65 runs to register their first win of the season.

Boost Defenders Innings

Defenders registered an excellent total of 202/6 in 20 overs after electing to bat first. Their total was contributed by Allah Noor with 56 off 26 balls and Karim Janat with 52 off 26 balls. In addition, Tariq Stanikzai offered vital resistance in the middle overs with a decent innings of 41 off 36 balls!. Despite the Tigers, efforts with the ball, the defenders' aggressive approach kept the scoreboard ticking. Zahir Khan (2/34) and Fareed Ahmad Malik (2/42) took wickets but went for runs. Ismat Alam bowled tight, finishing with 1/32 in 4 overs.

Speen Ghar Tigers Innings

Chasing 203, the Speen Ghar Tigers crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for 137 in 19.2 overs. Captain Rahmat Shah tried to hold the innings together with 27 off 17 balls, while Ismat Alam (25 off 17) and Fareed Ahmad Malik (21 off 17) showed some late fight, but it wasn’t enough. The Defenders’ bowling attack was clinical. Arab Gul was the star with a fiery spell of 4/14 in 3.2 overs, dismantling the top and middle order. He was well supported by Abdul Rahman Rahmani (3/33) and Karim Janat (2/37), as they bundled out the Tigers comfortably to complete a resounding win.

In Match 3 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), the Band-e-Amir Dragons took on Mis Ainak Knights at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. Choosing to bowl first, the Dragons did well to restrict the Knights to a good total, despite a fluent fifty from Sohail Khan. In response, the Dragons' captain, Hashmatullah Shahidi, led a calm chase, securing a 6-wicket win with 4 balls remaining, kicking off their campaign in style.

Misbah-ul-Haq's Knights Innings

Choosing to bat first, Mis Ainak Knights scored a fighting 187/5 in 20 overs. Sohail Khan opened the innings and set the tone with a well-crafted 59 off 41 balls, while Nasir Jamal added a quick 47 off just 26 deliveries. Khalid Taniwal added the finishing touches to the scorecard with a quick 31 off 23 deliveries, giving the Knights a good finish. On the bowling front, Khalil Ahmed was the standout for the Dragons, claiming 4/33 in 4 overs, causing major damage in the middle overs. He was well supported by Izharulhaq Naveed (1/22 from 2 overs), while Nijat Masood bowled a tight spell even though he remained wicketless.

Band-e-Amir Dragons Innings

In response, Band-e-Amir Dragons showed cool and calculated aggression to pursue the target, reaching 188/4 in 19.2 overs. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi stabilized the run chase nicely with 63 off 47 balls, and Sediqullah Atal added firepower at the top with 31 off only 15 deliveries. While Farmanullah Safi was dazzling with the ball for the Knights, taking 2/20 off 4 overs, the rest of the bowlers lacked penetration.
