ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 is running now, and Sri Lanka is hosting its first game of the tournament, as Colombo's R Premadasa Stadium is hosting the Pakistan Women vs Bangladesh Women match on Thursday (October 2), while both teams have started their tournament journey with this fixture. During the first innings of the match, a commentator made a controversial call, which triggered many Indians.

Sana Mir called "Azad Kashmir"

While Pakistan Women were struggling at 94/6, skipper Fatima Sana and Natalia Pervaiz were fighting to rescue the team. Former Pakistan Women's captain and present commentator Sana Mir was commenting on the new Pakistan cricketers, including the all-rounder Natalia Pervaiz. Talking about her rise, Mir claimed that Natalia came from "Azad Kashmir." While this kind of comment can always trigger political tensions, especially when India are hosting the tournament along with Sri Lanka (due to Pakistan Women), many Indians have asked to take strong action against the commentator.

Here are a few more comments on that incident:

Pakistan Women all out for 129

After choosing to bat first, Pakistan Women were all out for 129 runs, as all Bangladesh bowlers were really tight, while the fielders also provided great support to the bowlers.
