But sadly, the rain had other plans. The match was called off without a result, and both teams had to settle for one point each.</span><span id="input-sentence~1"><br><br>Before today’s game, PBKS had been on a roll. They chased down the highest total ever in IPL history (262) and defended the lowest score (111), making this new rivalry even more interesting.</span></p><p><span id="input-sentence~1">Earlier, PBKS won the toss and chose to bat first.</span><span id="input-sentence~2"> Their openers got them off to a flying start, putting up 120 runs together. Andre Russell gave KKR their first breakthrough by getting Priyansh Arya out for 69. Soon after, Vaibhav Arora dismissed Prabhsimran Singh, who made a strong 83.</span><span id="input-sentence~3"> Glenn Maxwell disappointed once again, scoring just 7 before Varun Chakravarthy got him out. PBKS tried to send Marco Jansen up the batting order, but it didn’t work out, as he was dismissed for just 3 runs by Vaibhav Arora.</span></p><h3 data-start="146" data-end="208">Rain Spoils the crazy match as KKR vs PBKS Ends Without a Result</h3><p><span id="input-sentence~4">Towards the end, captain Shreyas Iyer (25* off 14 balls) and Josh Inglis (11* off 5 balls) added some quick runs, helping PBKS finish at 201 for 4. When KKR started their chase, they were 7 for 1 after the first over. But then, heavy rain stopped the game. And in this match, Punjab Kings created history by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs and with this, Punjab Kings became the first team to defend the lowest total in the history of IPL.</span><span id="input-sentence~1"> Punjab Kings had set a target of just 112 runs in front of Kolkata team, in response, Kolkata team was all out for 95 runs.</span></p><p><span id="input-sentence~1">Talking about this match, Punjab Kings team could not score a big score and Kolkata team had a target of only 112 runs.</span><span id="input-sentence~2"> But the real game starts when Yuzvendra Chahal comes to bowl. Chahal first dismissed Ajinkya Rahane LBW on a score of 17 runs, after which he also dismissed Angkrish Raghuvanshi who was looking dangerous. Chahal then dismissed Rinku Singh and then Ramandeep Singh on two consecutive balls to bring back Punjab Kings.</span><span id="input-sentence~3"> Chahal took four wickets for 28 runs in four overs.<br>In this match played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings, Punjab Kings were all out for 111 runs while batting first. Apart from these two, only Nehal Wadhera (10), Shashank Singh (18) and Xavier Bartlett (11) could score in double figures.</span><span id="input-sentence~5"><br><br>The team lost six wickets for 80 runs and experienced spinner Narine made it difficult for Punjab to make a comeback by dismissing Suryansh Shedge (four) and Marco Jansen (one).
