The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 continues with India Women (IND W) facing Australia Women (AUS W) in Match No. 13 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, October 12.

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur's side has just come from their first loss of the campaign by losing to South Africa by three wickets in a very close match. Even with the defeat, the hosts are currently third on the table with two victories from three games, and they will want to get back to winning ways infront of the home crowd. India will rely heavily on Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues for stability, and Deepti Sharma's all-round contribution will be crucial.

In the meantime, defending champions Australia continue to show their strength. After a shaky start in the opening match against Pakistan, Beth Mooney's magnificent century propelled them to a remarkable 107-run victory. The Aussies have since been unbeaten and appear to be well tempered under the leadership of Alyssa Healy. Notably, India and Australia played a three-match ODI series before the World Cup, and the Australians won the series 2-1.

In response, India’s batsmen showcased a brilliant mix of patience and aggression in scoring a massive 448/5 declared. Three batsmen KL Rahul (100), Dhruv Jurel (125) and Ravindra Jadeja (104*) scored centuries and Jadeja even showed more evidence that he is in great form by hitting an incredible five sixes! This innings provided India with a first innings lead of 286 runs which placed them in complete control.

India (IND) and Pakistan (PAK) will once again face off in the Super Four of the Asia Cup 2025 tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 21, at 8:00 PM IST. This will be the second time both teams meet in this tournament after India comfortably beat PAK by seven wickets in the group stage. This time, there will be more at stake behind the line, if intensity is created in the first group stage matchup, there will be a lot of intensity on and off the field.

The Men in Blue have been the team to beat, winning all three of their games in this tournament. In their last game against Oman, India won their last game by 21 runs, they were testing out their bench strength and at the same time, rotating their batting order. India began their tournament first with a comfortable 93-run win against Oman, but then they lost to India and bounced back with a 41 run win over the UAE in a must-win game.

The last time these two teams met, India refused to shake hands with the PAK players right after the Pahalgam attack. So, with tensions still high, there will be tension again leading into this high-voltage matchup, and fans can expect an entertaining game.

With both teams having well-balanced teams, this could prove to be a competitive contest.

Bangladesh (BAN) faces Sri Lanka (SL) in match 5 of the Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. This contest is very important to both teams as they try to further their chances of moving forward in the tournament. The Bangla Tigers are coming off a very impressive run of results, having won a series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and The Netherlands prior to the Asia Cup. They came into this match with momentum, having defeated Hong Kong by seven wickets in their opening game while chasing down a target of 144 within 17 overs.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are coming off a disappointing series loss to Bangladesh in July, but they managed to bounce back earlier in September with the 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe in Harare. Inconsistency has been their biggest issue to date under skipper Charith Asalanka. The islanders will be depending heavily on the spin brothers Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana to keep the opposition down, while top-order batters Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis will need to provide a baseline for them in this match, which can prove to be pivotal in the tournament.

The West Delhi Lions produced a marvelous all-round performance against the Central Delhi Kings in the DPL 2025 Final at Arun Jaitley Stadium. West Delhi Lions chased down a target of 174 after Captain Nitish Rana came out with the bat and smashed a sensational 79 (49)** to lead the way, before being supported by a blitz of 42 off 27 balls from Hrithik Shokeen. While Pranshu Vijayran's fireworks late in the innings kept CDK competitive, the final score of 173/7 was not enough. The bowling unit for Lions applied the pressure after each of the quick blows allowed them to settle in; however, they bowled well in terms of miserly economy (notably Shivank Vashisht with his 2/12). After 18 overs, the Lions chased it down, by a margin of 6 wickets, to win the DPL 2025 Final Trophy.
