Royal Challengers Bengaluru surprised everyone with a game-changing match to win the Women’s Premier League 2026 final against Delhi Capitals by six wickets. The match ended up being one of the most electrifying finals ever in tournament history. RCB successfully chased a huge target of 204 runs, the highest target ever in a WPL final. They managed the target with two balls remaining and lifted the trophy.

The chase looked tricky early on, but captain Smriti Mandhana (87) and Australia’s Georgia Voll (79) turned the game with brilliant batting.
The pair put together a record 165-run stand for the second wicket, the highest in WPL history. Mandhana played courageous innings against spin bowling, while Voll held the innings together before attacking in the final overs.

The pressure came on Delhi after Chinelle Henry took a few wickets in the death. RCB required 10 runs in the final over and the responsibility to defend the total was handed to the young bowler Shree Charani. The game was turn so exciting that the two sides had to throw their all for the title.

Final Over Thriller Seals Historic Victory

RCB needed 10 runs off 6 balls to start the final over. On ball 19.1, Radha Yadav got under a good-length ball that pushed the ball to long-off for a single. On ball 19.2, Nadine de Klerk took a short ball and added another run to her tally at deep backward square leg. At this point, RCB needed 8 runs off 4 balls, and the pressure was on.

On ball 19.3, Radha played the pivotal shot of the match. She backed up, moved across the crease, she knelt down, she sliced the ball over cover-point for a vital boundary. The crowd went wild as RCB closed to their lead towards victory. On ball 19.4, with four runs required from three balls, Radha confidently lofted the next ball over the infield once again to get the boundary, sealing a memorable victory for her side and igniting huge celebrations.

Earlier in the match, Delhi posted 203/4 after strong batting performances from Jemimah Rodrigues and a quick unbeaten innings by Chinelle Henry. Despite their strong total, Delhi’s bowlers struggled to control RCB’s batters. With this victory, RCB won their second WPL title after their earlier triumph, joining Mumbai Indians as the only teams to win multiple championships.
