Indian cricket star Rohit Sharma has purchased a new luxury car, a Tesla Model Y. The experienced batter was recently spotted driving his new electric car, which has a special number plate, MH01FB3015. The number is special to Rohit as it relates to the birthdates of his children. After a video of Rohit driving the Tesla went viral on social media, fans commented on the car and the special number plate.

The number “3015” on the plate combines the birthdates of his daughter Samaira (December 30, 2018) and son Ahaan (November 15, 2024). According to carwale.com, the Tesla Model Y’s on-road price in Mumbai starts at around ₹63.08 lakh, while the long-range version costs about ₹71.71 lakh. Earlier this year, Rohit also bought an orange Lamborghini Urus SE, which carries the same 3015 number, showing how much the number means to him and his family.

Rohit is known for his impressive car collection. He owns a Land Rover Range Rover LWB HSE and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class as well. The Range Rover has the number 0264 — the same as his highest ODI score of 264 runs, made against Sri Lanka in 2014. His S-Class carries the number 2130, a mix of the birthdates of his wife, Ritika Sajdeh (December 21, 1987) and daughter Samaira.

Rohit Prepares for the Australia ODI Series

Rohit Sharma, who retired from T20Is and Tests, will now focus only on ODIs. Though Shubman Gill has replaced him as captain for the Australia series, Rohit remains part of the squad. He last played in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where he led India to an unbeaten title win, ending a 12-year ICC ODI trophy drought.
