When it was time for the Superchargers to bat, they made light work of the chase. NSW struggled for momentum in their innings, with only captain Hollie Armitage (36* off 28) able to knuckle down while the rest of the batting order fell prey to the Southern Brave bowling attack. When Sofie Devine (3/15) opened the attacking bowling exchange and Lauren Bell (1/25) pounced shortly afterwards, NSW was destined for a sub-standard score.
