Match summary

Northern Superchargers Women claimed the title of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2025, with a thoroughly convincing 7-wicket victory over Southern Brave Women at Lord’s. Batting first, Southern Brave found it difficult to build momentum at the crease and managed only 115/6 in 100 balls. With Sophie Devine (23 off 28), Freya Kemp (26 off 17), and Maia Bouchier (13 off 11) trying their best, their innings simply never really took off, particularly thanks to the pressure imposed by Northern Superchargers bowlers throughout, specifically Kate Cross (2/8) and Annabel Sutherland (1/23).

When it was time for the Superchargers to bat, they made light work of the chase. Opening bat, Phoebe Litchfield gave Northern Superchargers an explosive start, playing a thrilling innings of 26 off 13. Annabel Sutherland (28* off 25) and Nicola Carey (35* off 25) carried on from there, making sure their innings flowed courtesy of the controlled captaincy. Before we knew it, the target was chased down in just 88 balls with 7 wickets in hand, crowning them champions.
