MLC 2025: Texas Super Kings Win by 51 Runs Against Seattle Orcas

In Match 28 of the 2025 Major League Cricket season, Texas Super Kings played Seattle Orcas at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill. Seattle won the toss and chose to bowl first, hoping it would be easier to chase later. But Texas batted really well and then bowled brilliantly to win easy win by 51 runs.

TSK Batted first, Texas scored 188 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Faf du Plessis led from the front with a superb 91 runs off 52 balls, hitting boundaries and running well.
Shubham Ranjane was also in great touch, scoring 65 runs from 41 balls. Wicketkeeper Smit Patel added 18 runs. For Seattle, Cameron Gannon and Jasdeep Singh took one wicket each. Captain Sikandar Raza bowled one tight over, giving away only 12 runs.

Chasing 189, Seattle Orcas were all out for 137 in 18.4 overs and couldn’t keep up with the target. Kyle Mayers was their top scorer with 35 runs. Shimron Hetmyer scored 26, and Sikandar Raza made 23, but no one else could really help.
Adam Milne was the hero with the ball for Texas, taking 5 wickets for 23 runs. Akeal Hosein took 2 wickets for 24 runs, and Noor Ahmad also got 2 wickets for 26 runs. Texas Super Kings played better in all areas and got a well earned, comfortable win.

Chasing 238 was never going to be easy, but Seattle Orcas made it look possible. Shimron Hetmyer played an outstanding knock, scoring 97 runs off just 40 balls. He took the attack to the bowlers and kept the team in the hunt.
Kyle Mayers gave the chase a solid start with 37 off 20 balls. Later in the innings, captain Sikandar Raza played a crucial cameo, scoring 30 off just 9 balls to bring the Orcas close to the target.

MI New York tried their best with the ball.
Trent Boult was their Key bowler, taking 3 wickets for 31 runs. Delano Potgieter got 2 wickets, and Rushil Ugarkar picked up one. In the end, Seattle reached 238/7 with just a few balls to spare, pulling off one of the most exciting wins of the tournament. Both teams played some top-quality cricket, but it was the Orcas who held their nerve when it mattered most.
