The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 2nd warm-up match between the United States of America and India A will take place at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The United Arab Emirates defeated Canada in the American T20 Cup final, successfully chasing down the target of 169 runs. Shayan Jahangir, Milind Kumar and Monank Patel were the key players for the USA team

India A is going to concentrate on trying out different combinations, rotating bowlers intelligently, and letting key players spend time in the middle. With a match played just a day earlier against New Zealand, India could rest a few senior players, giving opportunities to the likes of Priyansh Arya, Tilak Verma, and Ayush Badoni.

India's decisive 4-1 T20I series victory against New Zealand arrived at the optimal moment for the team because they completed their final preparations before the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The tournament will take place which India will co-host together with Sri Lanka, as the team enters the international competition with confidence derived from their consistent performance and roster depth and determined player responsibilities.

India achieved successful results through the series yet the research demonstrated their advanced development as a team which plays T20 cricket. Suryakumar Yadav made his first appearance as captain during an ICC tournament when he showed both batting and leadership skills to his team. His 63 runs during the fifth T20I match demonstrated his current batting form which he uses to create a positive atmosphere throughout his team.

Strong top order and smart learnings set India up for World Cup push

Suryakumar observed that teams gain two benefits from winning matches because they improve their team spirit and receive important educational opportunities. The Indian coaching staff concentrates on finding areas which need improvement for their team despite winning matches because the captain considers this approach essential for World Cup preparations. The five-match series provided him with perfect preparation because it enabled the team to test different player combinations while practicing their skills in high-pressure game situations.

The explosive opening partnership created a major advantage for India. The top order batsmen developed a fearless batting style through their practice sessions with Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma. Kishan scored 103 runs from 43 balls which became the most impressive performance of the series and helped India achieve one of their highest T20I scores. Abhishek's aggressive style of play combined with his intent showed that he continuously pressured New Zealand during the match.

Suryakumar praised both openers for staying true to their natural game, noting how their attacking approach eases pressure on the middle order and finishers. India will approach the World Cup which starts on February 7 with their current momentum and clear understanding of their roles and their combination of excitement and confidence and complete readiness.

<![CDATA[List of Indian players to score 3000 International T20 Runs ft Suryakumar Yadav]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-stats/list-of-indian-players-to-score-3000-international-t20-runs-ft-suryakumar-yadav/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-stats/list-of-indian-players-to-score-3000-international-t20-runs-ft-suryakumar-yadav/ Sat, 31 Jan 2026 22:08:55 GMT

The process of scoring runs in T20 cricket presents one challenge to players. The ability to maintain peak performance for enough time to achieve 3000 international T20 runs stands as a different athletic achievement. The T20 format requires players to take risks while they bat at high speeds which continuously change the game.

Every player demonstrates a different part of India's T20 development which includes three main elements of their performance.

Indian Players to Score 3000 T20I Runs

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli became the first Indian player to achieve the 3000-run milestone in T20 International matches which established a standard that demonstrated India's early success in the cricket format. Kohli proved himself as the most dependable run producer during a period when T20 cricket had not yet established its proper combination of aggressive and stable playing styles. His ability to control innings, especially during run chases, made him indispensable to India’s T20 setup for over a decade.

Kohli distinguished himself from others because he performed consistently well when situations became challenging. While strike rates fluctuated across conditions and opponents, his output rarely dipped. Kohli took on different roles that included opening, batting at No. 3, and finishing games with complete ease. His 3000 T20I runs were built on discipline, fitness, and an unmatched hunger for runs, which made him the mainstay of India's T20 batting lineup over an extended period.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma achieved his 3,000 T20I runs through a combination of graceful batting and powerful hitting abilities. Rohit showed the cricket world a new way for openers to play the shortest format because of his natural ability to hit various types of shots. He could take apart opponent bowling systems after he reached his batting target because he used his timing skills to hit home runs without using excessive strength.

Rohit brought more than his personal talent to the game because he contributed to team success. He led his team by promoting aggressive batting methods at the beginning of matches while keeping his team calm during intense situations. His three T20I centuries demonstrated how he excelled at converting his batting opportunities into victory runs. His 3,000 run milestone demonstrated his combination of career durability and exceptional skills which helped India establish its T20 batting style.

Suryakumar Yadav

The 3,000-run club marks a new era for Indian T20 batting after Suryakumar Yadav achieved this milestone. Suryakumar became the fastest player in T20 history to reach 3,000 runs because he achieved this milestone at a speed that no one else had accomplished before. He began his career at the same time that T20 cricket began to adopt its current extremely aggressive playing style.

Suryakumar stands out because he approaches the game without fear while possessing exceptional abilities to execute various batting techniques. He begins his assault against bowlers from the first delivery of the match, which he does against all teams and in all game situations, and his quick success leads to changes in match outcomes during the initial overs.

The 3,000 runs he achieved serve as proof of his achievements, which he built through his innovative approaches and self-assurance and his competitive attitude that represents India's present T20 playing style.

The fifth T20I of the five-match series between India and New Zealand, ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Greenfields International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, was only about Sanju Samsung and how he would do before his local crowd, which could be his last chance to stay in the playing 11 of the Indian side, heading into the ICC event.

India’s captain, Suryakumar Yadav, won the toss and decided to bat first. He confirmed that there would be so much due later in the evening, which would be a challenging factor for their bowlers to defend the target ahead of the World Cup. India made three changes in the playing 11, but the most important was whether Sanju Samson was playing or not.

India and New Zealand will lock horns for the last time in the series as they clash in the 5th T20I on Saturday, January 31, at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. India has already won the series with a 3-1 lead, but both teams will be eager to end the series on a positive note.

India began the series with a strong note as they won matches in Nagpur, Raipur, and Guwahati with their impressive all-round display. But their winning streak came to a halt in the fourth T20I at Visakhapatnam as they suffered a massive defeat. Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the home side as they look to bounce back and seal the series 4-1 before turning their attention to the T20 World Cup 2026.

New Zealand finally found their rhythm in the previous match, showing better teamwork with both bat and ball. That win will give them confidence, and they will aim to carry the same energy into the final game. A victory here would help the Mitchell Santner-led side take some positives from the tour before heading into the global tournament.

IND vs NZ: Pitch Report

The pitch at Greenfield Stadium usually offers a good balance between bat and ball. Batting gets harder as the game progresses with the surface becoming slower. Teams favor putting up a big first-innings total, as it is difficult to chase under lights.

India and New Zealand are set to face off for the final time in the five-match T20I series, with the fifth encounter scheduled for Saturday, January 31, at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. With India already securing the series 3-1, the hosts will aim to end the assignment on a high. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side dominated the opening three matches in Nagpur, Raipur, and Guwahati, showcasing superior all-round performances before suffering a rare setback in the fourth game.

In Visakhapatnam, India struggled to maintain cohesion and were comprehensively beaten by 50 runs, allowing New Zealand to register their first win of the series. The visitors, led by Mitchell Santner, finally displayed collective effort and resilience, which will boost their morale. Heading into the series finale, New Zealand will look to build on that momentum and gain valuable confidence ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, while India target a convincing 4-1 series triumph.

New Zealand posted their second highest T20I score against India of 215 runs for the lose of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs of the innings during the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. On the very first delivery of the chase, Abhishek Sharma lost his wicket against Matt Henry as Devon Conway grabbed a fine catch.

On the last delivery of the second over, India’s captain, Surya Kumar Yadav, also went back to the pavilion for 8 runs at run-a-ball as the lanky pacer Jacob Duffy grabbed a fantastic catch, which was possible only because of his fine reflection while delivering the delivery. On the previous delivery, Sky shuffled across and used a bowler's angle to flick him through square leg for a good boundary.

New Zealand, in the meantime, have found it difficult to produce a full show. They have shown flashes of quality but inconsistency has cost them at vital moments. Mitchell Santner’s side will now play for pride and look to bounce back with a stronger showing in Visakhapatnam.
