Batting first, MMR set a fighting score of 153/10 in 20 overs. Their middle order was led by Saksham Swayam Parashar, who hit 45 off only 22 balls with 4 sixes and 2 fours. Khan Awais Naushad (24 off 16) and Chinmay Sutar (24 off 20) supported him in the middle order. Though they got wickets at regular intervals in the game, damaging their momentum. The bowling lineup of TKMNE performed excellently, led by Parikshit Valsangkar, who took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs and was later awarded the SportsTiger MVP.
