In Match 3 of The Hundred Women’s 2025 at Headingley, Northern Superchargers Women put on a great all-round show to defeat Welsh Fire Women by 47 runs. After winning the toss, Superchargers chose to bat first and did a solid job with both bat and ball.

Superchargers scored 141 runs in their 100 balls. Phoebe Litchfield batted beautifully and scored 43 from 30 balls. Captain Hollie Armitage also played a smart knock, staying not out on 34. Later, Annabel Sutherland hit 28 off 20 balls and Georgia Wareham finished the innings nicely with 29 not out from 17 balls.
They gave their team a good score to defend.

Welsh Fire had a tough time chasing 142. They were all out for just 94 runs in 98 balls. Tammy Beaumont was the only batter who looked good, scoring 36 off 21 balls.
But the rest of the team kept losing wickets, and they couldn’t build any partnerships.

The Superchargers’ bowlers were spot on. Georgia Wareham took 2 wickets for 14 runs, Linsey Smith got 2 for 9, and Grace Ballinger picked up 2 for 11. There were also two run-outs, which made things worse for Welsh Fire. In the end, it was an easy win for Superchargers, who looked better in all departments.

In a dominant performance at The Hundred Women’s  2025, Match 3, the Northern Superchargers Women secured a comfortable win over Welsh Fire Women. batting first, Northern Superchargers Women ended a difficult opening phase to score a competitive 141/4 in their 100 balls. The main event of their batting was a significant lower-order partnership, which changed the game in the end. Welsh Fire, in their reply, never got into the groove and were all out for 94, losing by 47 runs. Here are the key reasons why the Welsh Fire Women lost the match:

1. Dramatic Batting Collapse for Welsh Fire

Following a challenging target, Welsh Fire's dreams were shattered by a sudden middle-order collapse. The innings started negatively with the early loss of Sophia Dunkley and Hayley Matthews. Tammy Beaumont’s speedy knock of 36 off 21 balls sparked some hope, but wickets kept falling at the other end. No batter could sustain the effort and hand the team a shock collapse—losing 8 wickets for just 45 runs. The chase would have ended much earlier if the middle and lower orders had resisted.

2. Superchargers’ Clinical Bowling Display

Northern Superchargers Women went perfect in bowling, covering the ground holding both ends tight. Georgia Wareham, who bowled four overs and conceded 14 runs along with picking 2 wickets, was able to put brakes on the batting and also got important wickets. Grace Ballinger was equally incisive, returning 2–16 in 3.3 overs. The Superchargers’ bowlers showcased remarkable discipline, shutting down every attempt by Welsh Fire to rebuild, and ensured regular breakthroughs to keep any momentum at bay.

3. Superchargers women Pivotal Lower-order Partnership

At the earlier stage of the game, after a good start, Northern Superchargers found themselves needing a boost. Captain Hollie Armitage (34* off 27) and Georgia Wareham (29* off 17) went on a vital 52-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Their energetic and yet well-planned hitting in the last overs lifted the total to a challenging 141/4—a score that put the Superchargers in the driver's seat. This late onslaught was important in putting the total out of reach on a pitch that was becoming more suited to disciplined bowling.
