On Sunday (November 23), Sri Lanka hosted the Final of the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind, while India Women won the historic title after beating Nepal Women. 

India Women outclassed Nepal Women in Final

P Sara Oval hosted the Final of the match, where India Women chose to bowl first after winning the toss. While Nepal Women scored 114/5 in 20 overs, India Women chased down the target in only 12.1 overs after losing three wickets, as India Women won the final by seven wickets.

For Nepal Women, Sarita Ghimire scored 35 not out, while Bimala Rai (26) was the only other batter to reach the double-digit scores, along with 25 extras (23 wides and two no-balls). 

In reply, Karuna scored 42 runs, while Phula Saren scored 44 not out with the help of four fours to guide India Women to win the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind title. Saren won the Player of the Match award for her match-winning knock.

Complete Details of Women's T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind 2025

A total of six teams participated in the Women's T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind 2025, the inaugural edition of the tournament, which ran between November 11 and 23. Apart from the finalists India Women and Nepal Women, the other four participants were Sri Lanka Women, Pakistan Women, Australia Women, and Nepal Women. 

India and Sri Lanka hosted the Women's T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind 2025. While Colombo’s P Sara Oval hosted both the Semi-finals and the Final, BOI Cricket Ground in Katunayake Colombo was the other Sri Lankan venue to host the second phase of the league stage of the tournament (November 15-20). 

Modern School Ground in New Delhi (November 11-13) and Samprasiddhi Sports Estadio in Bengaluru (November 14-16) hosted the first or Indian phase of the league stage of the Women's T20 World Cup Cricket For The Blind.

Last Saturday (November 22), India Women (112/1 in 11.5 overs) beat Australia Women (109/9 in 20 overs) by nine wickets in the first Semi-final, while Nepal Women (171/3 in 17 overs) defeated Pakistan Women (169/6 in 20 overs) by seven wickets. India Women won all the matches in the tournament to lift the trophy as the unbeaten champions.
