Just after India claimed the T20 World Cup 2026 with the massive victory by 96 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against New Zealand as the opposition got bundled out for 159 runs in 19 overs to the reply of the home side’s 255 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs, the Bollywood actor drops a special video.

Anupam Kher, the Bollywood actor, has put the video on his social media platform regarding the premier pacer of the blue brigade, Jasprit Bumrah, who earned the ‘player of the match’ award in winning the match. The pacer ended up with four wickets for 15 runs in four overs at an economy rate of 3.80.

Bumrah was excellent with the slower deliveries in all phases of the game to fox the batters. He came to break the top order of the Kiwi side, Rachin Ravindra, for one run in two balls as Ishan Kishan grabbed a fine catch while diving forward in the boundary line.

Jasprit Bumrah later came back to send back the left-handed batter, Jammes Neesham, who was undone by the pace off delivery as he was stunned by the excellent ball. On the very next delivery of the over, he put up a cracking yorker to break the stumps of Matt Henry, as his 4/15 became the second-best figures of the T20 World Cup finals.

Bumrah has now overtaken Arshdeep Singh to become the leading wicket-taker in the history of the T20 World Cups. The right-arm pacer has bagged 40 wickets at an economy rate of just 5.66, while Lasith Malinga comes into the second position with 38 wickets at an economy rate of just 7.43.

“It feels extremely special because I’ve played one final at my home venue, and you know, I couldn’t win that one, but this one feels really special. I was really motivated. I was really clear. I knew what I wanted to do. The wicket was a flat one, so I played all my cricket here, and I used all my experience.” The right-arm pacer noted.
