Fans are eagerly waiting for the big match between India and Pakistan in Sri Lanka. The match will be played on February 15 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan said he does not see the game as something special. According to him, it is just another match. However, he added that the team will go into the game with a fresh and positive mindset.

The in-form Pakistan batter spoke after reports said that the PCB had called off its proposed boycott of the match on Monday. He was speaking at the post-match press conference with Pakistan legend Wasim Akram after Pakistan’s win against the USA. Farhan said he is ready for the February 15 clash and wants to play attacking cricket.

“We will go in with the same mindset as we did in our earlier matches against India, including the Asia Cup. We will try to stay positive and play attacking cricket,” he said.

Pakistan Government Explains U-Turn Decision

In a statement, the Pakistan government said it changed its decision after many countries requested them not to boycott the match. At the same time, the ICC decided not to punish Bangladesh after they were left out of the T20 World Cup for refusing to play in India.

Pakistan Beat USA in T20 World Cup

Pakistan won their latest T20 World Cup match against the USA. Pakistan scored 190/9 in 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan played a brilliant knock of 73 runs off 41 balls. For the USA, Shadley van Schalwyk took four wickets.

While chasing 191 runs, the USA managed 158/8 in 20 overs. Shubham Ranjane scored 51 runs, but it was not enough. Usman Tariq took three wickets and helped Pakistan win the match comfortably.

Farhan Confident After Strong Performance

After the match, Farhan said he felt confident even before the game. He said the ball was coming nicely onto his bat during practice. He also told the batting coach, Hanif Malik, that he was feeling good about the match.

Farhan said he wanted to finish the game in a way that would earn him the Player of the Match award. He has set a personal goal to win at least two or three Player of the Match awards in this World Cup. He also said the pitch was very good for batting.

He added that as openers, his and Saim Ayub’s role is to use the powerplay well. Farhan said he likes to play attacking cricket. He felt Ayub was a bit unlucky, but his plan was to continue playing his natural game. He said in T20 cricket, openers must attack in the first six overs, and that is the role given to them by the captain.
