Opener Sarthak Ranjan was the star for the Strikers, smashing a brilliant 100 off 58 balls with 7 sixes and 8 fours. He got good support from Arjun Rapria, who stayed unbeaten on 47 from 23 balls and gave the innings a late push. Others couldn’t make it big as the Tigers’ bowlers Prince Yadav (2/38) and Himmat Singh (2/40) kept picking key wickets.

The New Delhi Tigers won a easy win, chasing down a target of 69 in just 5 overs to defeat the Central Delhi Kings by 9 wickets in the 33rd match of DPL 2025. The Kings started well with Yash Dhull (18 off 12) and Kaushal Suman (30 off 23). Their captain, Jonty Sidhu, batted brilliantly and smashed 75 runs from only 37 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes. But the Tigers’ bowlers kept striking at the right time. Pankaj Jaswal picked up 3/27 and Himmat Singh added 2/24, stopping the Kings from scoring bigger runs.

Because of rain, the Tigers had to chase 69 runs in 6 overs, but they made it look simple. Himmat Singh was the hero with a blazing 45 runs from just 19 balls, hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes. Shivam Gupta made 8 runs, while Vaibhav Rawal finished the chase with 9 runs from 3 balls. The Tigers crossed the line in only 5 overs, winning comfortably with an over left.

New Delhi Tigers put up a strong game and outplayed North Delhi Strikers to win by 8 wickets. North Delhi Strikers Batting first, the Strikers got off to a poor start and kept losing wickets early. They were 46/5 inside nine overs and could never recover. Vaibhav Kandpal fought hard with 45 runs from 32 balls, while Arjun Rapria scored 29 from 24 balls. But regular wickets meant the Strikers could only manage 124/9 in their 20 overs. Yashjeet bowled brilliantly for the Tigers, taking 3/15, while Pradyuman Sanan supported well with 2/29.

West Delhi Lions defeated New Delhi Tigers by 15 runs (DLS method) in a rain-hit match of the Delhi Premier League 2025. Batting first, the Tigers could only score 138/8 in their 20 overs. The Lions’ bowlers were spot on, with Manan Bhardwaj (2 for 23) and Anirudh Chowdhary (2 for 26) doing the main damage. Himmat Singh made 30, while Vaibhav Rawal played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 64 from 50 balls to help his team reach a fighting total.

Chasing a revised DLS target of 154, the Lions had a bad start at 1/1 but quickly fought back. Ankit Kumar smashed 25 off just 14 balls, giving them a quick boost. 1. Manan Bhardwaj’s match-winning spell

West Delhi Lions’ Manan Bhardwaj, the spinner, was the star performer who transformed the game with a figure of 3/12. Bhardwaj’s tight line and length broke the Tigers’ middle order, restricting them to a below-par total, His impact performance he won the Player of the Match.

2. Rain and DLS disruption

After winning the toss, Superstarz chose to bowl first and faced a tough batting fight from the Tigers. New Delhi Tigers scored 196 runs for 9 wickets, thanks to good half-centuries by Dhruv Kaushik and Deepak Punia.

The Tigers lost two early wickets quickly Shivam Gupta scored 2 and captain Himmat Singh got out for 1. Dhruv Kaushik played well, scoring 65 runs from 41 balls. Parth Bali and Vaibhav Rawal added useful runs too. Deepak Punia was the star with a quick 54 runs from just 24 balls. For Superstarz, Aman Bharti took 3 important wickets and Vision Panchal took 1.

Chasing 197, Superstarz lost Kunwar Bidhuri early for 6 runs. Then Anmol Sharma steadied the innings with 79 runs from 52 balls. Ayush Badoni got out cheaply for 3, but Tejasvi Dahiya played a brilliant innings scoring 72 runs from 38 balls with lots of boundaries and sixes. Vision Panchal got out for 8 runs soon after. The match became very tense when the score was tied with 3 wickets down in the last over. Finally, Sumit Kumar Beniwal and Abhishek Khandelwal stayed calm and scored the winning runs in the last over thriller.

In Match 18 of the DPL 2025, the South Delhi Superstarz secured a last-ball 3-wicket win against the New Delhi Tigers, steering a target of 197 after just one ball remained in the game. Although the Tigers had a good batting innings, the Superstarz’s top order came up with match-winning performances, and the visitors’ bowling missed key moments. The result gave the Tigers yet another defeat in their campaign, thus showcasing their inability to finish tight games.

1. Excellent Opening Partnership Superstarz

Anmol Sharma and Tejaswi Dahiya, the two opening batsmen, played some classy shots that resulted in a partnership of 79 runs off 52 balls and 72 off 38 balls, respectively. Their stand was perfect for the chase, as it completely changed the situation of the match after just two overs, and the Tiger’s bowling attack was neutralized. This drive kept the Superstarz in the lead of the required run rate throughout the innings.

2. Tigers’ Bowling Woes in the Death Overs

The New Delhi Tigers were not able to perform according to their plans in the final overs, and consequently, they gave away boundaries. Rahul Chaudhary and Prince Yadav went on to leak a lot of runs, although they got a few wickets. PD started scored with Samarth Seth smashing 80 off 46 balls, hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes. Pranav Pant added 46 off 36 to keep the scoreboard ticking, and late big hits from Aarush Malhotra (15 off 12), Lalit Yadav (10 off 8), and V. Bedi (31 off 9) pushed the total past 200. For NDT, Pankaj Jaswal was the best bowler, taking 3/28 in his 4 overs. The chase started badly for NDT as Dhruv Kaushik was run out without facing a ball.

But Shivam Gupta (39 off 24) and captain Himmat Singh (30 off 17) hit back hard in the powerplay. Vaibhav Rawal kept their hopes alive with a quick 62 off 35 balls, but his wicket in the 19th over proved costly. PD’s bowlers stayed calm under pressure. Udhav Mohan (2/29) and Pardeep Parashar (1/34) took key wickets, while Yug Gupta’s brilliant spell of 1/3 in the powerplay slowed things down and gave PD control early on.

PD6 set a target of 200/6 for 20 overs, with Samarth Seth scoring 80 runs off 46 balls and Pranav Pant contributing 46 runs off 36 balls.  Vansh Bedi (31 off 9) provided a late onslaught that lifted the total to a challenging mark. The Tigers fought valiantly in the chase as Vaibhav Rawal (62 off 35) led the charge, but they finally ended up on 190/7, just a run short.  Below are the key reasons why the New Delhi Tigers lost the match:

1. Purani Delhi 6’s Commanding Total

Samarth Seth was very fluent in his innings and scored 80 off 46 balls, while Pranav Pant ensured the innings kept going with 46 off 36 balls.  In the death overs, Vansh Bedi exploded with 31 off just 9 balls, taking PD6 from a good score to a formidable 200/6. The Tigers’ bowlers, despite Pankaj Jaswal’s 3/28 and Prince Yadav’s 2/34, could not prevent the late surge that tilted momentum firmly in PD6’s favor.

2. Missed Middle-Overs Bowling Control

The Tigers were able to get some wickets early but could not stop the run flow from 7 to 15 overs. During this time, PD6 kept on rebuilding steadily before mounting their final assault. The bowlers kept up with Parth Kumar Bali (1/35) trying to make things difficult, but some expensive overs in the middle gave PD6 a platform to really cash in during the last five overs, scoring around 15-20 runs above a par total.

3. Lack of a Big Partnership in the Chase

With Vaibhav Rawal’s fluent 62 off 35 balls and Shivam Gupta’s aggressive 39 off 24 the Tigers were still in contention, while the skipper, Himmat Singh, added 30 off 17. On the other hand, the team was missing a big, match-deciding partnership to stabilize the chase. PD6’s bowlers, with Udhav Mohan (2/29) and Rajneesh Dadar (2/31) at the forefront, were able to take wickets regularly; hence, they were able to increase the required run rate and slowly put an end to the Tigers race.

Central Delhi Kings put on a top‑class show to thrash New Delhi Tigers by 9 wickets in the DPL 2025. Chasing a target of 125, the Kings got the job done in just 13 overs, making it a one‑sided game.

Batting first, New Delhi Tigers couldn’t build big partnerships. Opener Dhruv Kaushik fell for a duck, and even though captain Himmat Singh scored 28 from 31 balls, the rest of the batting didn’t click. Parth Bali (20), Aryan Dalal (21) and Pankaj Jaiswal (12) added some runs, but no one stayed long enough to take control.

The Kings’ bowlers were on target from ball one. Gavnish Khurana took 3 wickets for just 20 runs, Money Grewal picked up 2 for 16, and Simarjeet Singh got 2 for 35. Tejas Baroka and Jonty Sidhu also took a wicket each as the Tigers ended on 124/9 in 20 overs.

The Kings’ reply was played very calm and aggressive when easy balls bowled. Their openers gave them a strong start, and even after losing one wicket, they kept scoring quickly. In the end, they scored 125/1 in only 13 overs, sealing an easy win. It was a great all‑round performance from Central Delhi Kings sharp bowling, tidy fielding, and powerful batting leaving New Delhi Tigers with no answers on the day.
