Central Delhi Kings beat North Delhi Strikers by 15 runs (DLS – 16 overs) in a rain-hit, high-scoring game of the Delhi Premier League 2025. Yash Dhull’s superb century set up the win, while the bowlers held their nerve in the final overs to deny the Strikers despite a strong chase.

Kings lost Siddharth Joon early but Yash Dhull stole the show with a brilliant 105 off just 51 balls, hitting 11 fours and 4 sixes. Yugal Saini gave solid support with a quick 63 off 28. Their partnership pushed the total close to 200 in the reduced 16 overs. Harshit Rana picked 3 wickets but even he went for runs.

The Strikers started their chase with good intent. Sarthak Ranjan smashed 52 off 26, while Vaibhav Kandpal (34 off 21) and Arnav Bugga (43 off 13) kept the hopes alive. At one stage, they needed only 35 runs from 18 balls, but wickets at the wrong time hurt their chase. Simarjeet Singh and Tejas Baroka picked two wickets each to make sure Kings finished on top.

In the second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), Central Delhi Kings put on a superb show at the Arun Jaitley Stadium to beat North Delhi Strikers by 8 wickets. The star of the night was Yash Dhull, who smashed the first century of DPL 2025. Chasing 175, Dhull played a brilliant knock of 101 not out from 56 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes. He batted with confidence and style, making sure the Kings reached the target with ease.

The second match of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 will see the North Delhi Strikers face the Central Delhi Kings at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The two sides had contrasting fortunes in the last season of the tournament and will be eyeing a winning start to their new campaigns. North Delhi Strikers reached the semifinals last time but were defeated by East Delhi Riders. Vaibhav Kandpal was the top scorer of the team with 314 runs, and Siddhartha Solanki was the highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets. However, their present squad looks very weak on paper, and no massive expectations are there for finishing in the playoffs.

Central Delhi Kings were placed fifth in the last edition and missed out on the qualification by a narrow margin. Dhruv Kaushik, who contributed 294 runs, was their top scorer, while Rajneesh Dadar took 11 wickets in the tournament. The Central Delhi Kings, with their more balanced line-up for DPL 2025, are being tipped as serious contenders for a spot in the knockouts.
