Oval Invincibles Women put on a strong show at home, beating Welsh Fire Women by 39 runs. Alice Capsey and Marizanne Kapp shone with the bat, while Sophia Smale and Amanda-Jade Wellington did the job with the ball.

The hosts lost captain Winfield-Hill on the first ball, but Alice Capsey’s quick 55 off 34 brought the innings to life. Meg Lanning added 23 runs, and Marizanne Kapp’s powerful 47 off 32 gave the team control. Amanda-Jade Wellington’s 17 off 9 balls helped them finish at 150 in their 100 balls.

Chasing 151, Sophia Dunkley fought hard with a fine 56 off 41 balls. But wickets kept falling around her, and once she was dismissed, Welsh Fire collapsed. None of the other batters crossed 16 as Invincibles’ bowlers kept it tight. Welsh Fire were bowled out for 111, handing Oval Invincibles a comfortable win.
