The rain-struck match in NPR College Cricket Ground settled through the application of the DLS method. In the second innings, the number of overs was reduced to 14.

After winning the toss, CSG skipper Baba Aparajith chose to bowl first, and his decision proved right. His team played throughout the match according to their plan and got the desired result too. Vijay Shankar was awarded the man of the match prize for his all-around performance. The star India all-rounder got 3 wickets and scored a match-winning unbeaten 28. Atheeq Ur Rahman played a 41-run knock for Madurai, and Murugan Ashwin got 38. Without any individual big runs, SMP, in 20 overs, was restricted to 156 for 7.

Hunny Saini was awarded the Man of the Match award for a stormy 37-run, 14-ball knock.

The number eight batsman of NRK, NS Harish, displayed the best batting from their team. Because of his unbeaten 43-run innings of 20 deliveries, inspired by four 4s and three 7s, Nellai got 179, a respectable total on the scoreboard. Apart from the knock from Harish, R. Sonu Yadav's 39* helped NRK to make a counterattack against Dragons economical bowling performance. Captain Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Chakravarthy maintained a tight bowling for DD throughout the innings. Both claimed a brace each. 

Second innings:

During the initial stage of the second innings, NRK bowlers were doing their best to prevent DD batters from finding a solid partnership in the beginning. DD lost 3 wickets on 33, and they were looking in deep trouble. The middle-order batters took the game away from the Royal Kings. After winning the toss, Sai Kishore elected to bowl first in the match at Indian Cement Company Ground. ITT's united bowling attack never allowed opposition batters to settle down on the track. Kings lost wickets at regular intervals, with Sachin B's individual 24 proving the highest individual knock for them in the match. Sathvik's flawless batting from the beginning dismantled the Kovai Kings bowling department. His unbeaten 66 off 47 was enough to conceal a third straight win for Tiruppur Tamizhans. He got appropriate support from the captain, Sai Kishore, and Pradosh Ranjan Paul, who scored 24 and 21, respectively.

SMP opener Sita Ram alone scored 48 against 37 balls, and Atheeq Ur Rahman got a 36-run innings in the middle order, which boosted the team total to a fightable 168 in 20 overs. But it was the number 10 player of the batting line-up, Gurjapneet Singh, who played a flashy 8-ball, 24-run innings during the closing moment of the innings.

The target was not high, but the bowlers were on point. The host team restricted the visitors to 158 and registered a 10-run win. Kings captain Karthik worked hard for his 67-run innings, but it was overshadowed by the efforts of the Panthers. In the 19th over of the second innings, Surya Anand claimed 4 wickets in 5 balls—that was enough to conclude the match for the night.
