Virat Kohli got a 35-off-43-run innings in the final of IPL 2025, an important innings, though unusual style of playing from the former skipper of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Punjab Kings (PBKS) has tried to maintain a tight line and wicket-to-wicket bowling, and that proved effective during the early overs of the match.

RCB lost the wicket of Phil Salt in the 2nd over, and then Mayank Agarwal walked back to the dugout during the 7th over of the first innings, which left Virat as the only set batsman on the crease for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and PBKS bowlers were trying to take control of the innings completely.

In that scenario, Kohli had to maintain his composure, and he did it by playing a 43-run innings against 35 deliveries, with only 3 boundaries, and a strike rate of 122.86. 

Under such pressure Omarzai took an outstanding catch to put Virat Kohli 

When Virat settled on the track, cricket fans, especially RCB fans, were expecting a massive individual total from him. But that didn't happen. Kohli departed for a catch and was bowled by Afghanistan International's Azmatullah Omarzai. 

In the last delivery of the 15th over, Omarzai landed a heavy delivery almost halfway down the track and angled it in from around off. Virat Kohli tried for the swivel-pull but never got in position, and the ball went towards the bowler's end. Omarzai threw his body to accomplish an excellent catch.
