Shubman Gill's 269-run innings was nothing less than a piece of art on a lush green field. The entire cricket world applauded India's newly appointed skipper for his technique, temperament, and skills he applied to create the historic innings.
A social media post of former India cricketer Irfan Pathan again resurfaced on the internet. The old 'X' post (then known as Twitter) was about Shubman Gill. Pathan shared the post back in 2019. Gill was then a 19-year-old emerging batsman who came under the spotlight after playing an effective innings for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2019. In the home ground of Punjab, PBKS, batting first, scored 183 for 6.
Shubman was the opener for KKR, pairing with Chris Lynn. Gill at the initial stage was a little bit slow, while Lynn was aggressive. Gill's watchful innings was all part of the tactics. At the age of 19, the way he composed the match-winning, unbeaten 65 off 49 deliveries, cricket experts had to appreciate that.

Pathan's prediction is right on point
Pathan took his social media account and wrote, "Sirf abhi hi nahi aage or bhi jyada ye naam baar baar sun ne milega (Not just now, we will get to hear this name even more in the future as well)."

The post that was created almost 6 years ago again resurfaced on the internet because of the mind-blowing batting in Birmingham. In the second test of the five-match series against England, the India captain played the 269-run innings after facing 387 deliveries. Throughout the innings he played multiple eye-shooting strokes; 30 boundaries and 3 massive sixes came from his blade.
