Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s participation in the ICC World Cup 2023 game against England is in doubt. According to reports on CricketNext News18, he is expected to sit out of the match as a precautionary measure.

A BCCI official stated that the team management is not keen on rushing him back against England and is taking a cautious approach. The official also clarified that Hardik’s injury is not of a serious nature. In a conversation with CricketNext, the official remarked, “Yes, Hardik is likely to miss the upcoming match against England in Lucknow. This decision is primarily a precautionary one at this stage, and there’s no reason to be overly concerned about it.”

Hardik Pandya sustained an injury during the match against Bangladesh in Pune, which caused him significant pain. He had twisted his ankle during his follow-through and subsequently left the field, not returning to the game.

As a result of this injury, Hardik Pandya was unable to participate in the match against New Zealand and did not travel to Dharamsala for that fixture. Initially, it was anticipated that he would recover in time for the game against England, but recent reports indicate a different outcome.
