'I am also very happy for...' - Yuvraj Singh emotional words on Akash Deep after his match winning performance against England at Edgbaston Test

Now, Yuvraj Singh has given his reaction about both players. Yuvraj said that when he meets Akash Deep, he will give him a big hug. He also spoke about Shubman Gill's captaincy.

Yuvraj Singh Praises Shubman Gill and Akash Deep After Historic Win

Shubman Gill, who is leading Team India in Tests for the first time, scored centuries in both innings of the Edgbaston Test. He made 269 runs in the first innings and 161 in the second. At the same time, Akash Deep took a total of 10 wickets in the match.

Talking about Team India's performance in the second Test against England, Yuvraj Singh said, "The overall performance of the Indian team was excellent. Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep bowled really well. Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant also batted very well. I am very happy for Akash Deep, especially because his sister is recovering from cancer. When I meet him, I will hug him."

Speaking about captain Shubman Gill, Yuvraj added, "He did a great job as captain and also batted really well. I am very proud of him, and I’m sure his father is also very proud. I am very impressed with his performance. I hope he will score many more centuries in international cricket."

Former England cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Darren Gough also attended Yuvraj Singh’s charity event in London. On this occasion, Pietersen praised KL Rahul. He said, "KL Rahul is a player of high quality. It has been great to learn from today’s players. I enjoy understanding their thinking and how the modern game works."

Darren Gough, a former fast bowler, said, "India’s batting has been excellent. In the last Test, Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep bowled very well even without Jasprit Bumrah. Ravindra Jadeja also played very well."

India won the second Test at Edgbaston by a big margin of 336 runs. Akash Deep, from Sasaram in Bihar, took 10 wickets for 187 runs in the match. In England’s second innings, he took six wickets for 99 runs and helped bowl out the hosts for 271 while they were chasing 608. Akash had earlier taken four wickets in the first innings.
