Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) will play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the fifty-seventh match of IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. KKR won the title last season, while CSK just missed the playoffs in IPL 2024.
At Chepauk, Kolkata Knight Riders won against Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in a one-sided contest. CSK’s batting collapsed as they managed to score only 103/9, with most batters failing to reach double digits in that match.Sunil Narine played a good innings with both bat and ball, taking 3 wickets and smashing 44 off just 18 balls. KKR chased down the target in just 10.1 overs, handing CSK their third straight defeat at home. With this win, KKR climbed to third in the points table and strengthened their playoff hopes.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi: Angkrish is a young and talented for KKR. He has been in great form and has made the most of the chances he's got this season and he proved by playing some crucial knocks.
Rovman Powell: If KKR needs a big hitter, Rovman Powell could be the answer, especially with Andre Russell and Rinku Singh in good form.
Manish Pandey: Manish’s experience could be key for KKR. He could help build the innings and make sure the team keeps going if the match needs to be taken deep.
Mayank Markande: Mayank has shown he can take wickets in the past, so KKR might bring him in for important breakthroughs during the match.
Chetan Sakariya: Though Harshit Rana has been good at the death, he struggles in the powerplay. This could give Chetan Sakariya the chance to step in with his left-arm seam and help break through early.

Anshul Kamboj: The young bowler had a good impact when he was a substitute in CSK’s last game. He’s taken five wickets in six matches, with a decent average of 33.80 and a strike rate of 21.60. If the pitch helps the fast bowlers, he could make an impact.
Jamie Overton: Even though he was bought for a high price, Jamie hasn’t had many chances to play in IPL 2025. In the three games he’s been a part of, he’s scored just 15 runs and hasn’t taken a wicket.
Ravichandran Ashwin: After waiting for a long time, Ashwin returned to CSK but hasn’t been able to bowl at his best. In seven matches, he has picked up only five wickets with an average of 44.60.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti: Kamlesh hasn’t had much chance to show his skills this season. His pace, consistently over 145 kph, could give CSK a fresh edge in their bowling attack if he gets a chance.
