IPL 2025: 'Har match mein thodi run banane hote hai' - Fans react as Rohit Sharma dismissed for 8 runs in PBKS vs MI clash

This time Rohit Sharma's luck did not shine, and he departed cheaply for only 8 runs after facing 7 deliveries in a crucial encounter against Punjab Kings (PBKS). PBKS skipper again proved this brilliance as a captain by introducing Marcos Stoinis early in the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2025 to counter Mumbai Indians (MI) former captain.

Stoinis did not miss the opportunity to make his skipper happy. Due to nonstop raining, the PBKS vs. MI match has started late by more than a couple of hours from the original scheduled time.

Today's match at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, is equally important for the Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings for a possible title shot. Due to rain, the ball is coming slightly late on the bat, which can make batters uncomfortable to make a perfect connection.

Punjab Kings didn't miss the second chance

Iyer decided to introduce the Southcan all-rounder early to surprise the Mumbai Indians openers. Rohit Sharma was unable to avoid the trap, and he fell short against Stoinis. In the second ball of the third over, the PBKS bowlers delivered short of a good length, on off. Sharma set up for the pull, but the connection was too early for a boundary or maximum. The ball travelled only to be caught by the safe hands of Vyshak Vijay Kumar at the deep square leg area.

In the previous over, Sharma was dropped by Azmatullah Omarzai on a Kyle Jamieson delivery. Rohit then was only a 3.
