In the 57th match of the IPL 2025, Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings (KKR vs CSK) has been scheduled for Wednesday evening (May 7) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It will be their second meeting this season, while KKR thrashed the hosts CSK in their first IPL 2025 meeting by eight wickets after successfully chasing the 104-run target in 10.1 overs after losing only two wickets. 

The five-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings are in the last position in the IPL 2025 points table with only four points in 11 games with two wins and nine losses, including losing the last four fixtures. Meanwhile, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders are struggling in the sixth place in the points table with 11 points in 11 games with five wins, five losses, and one no result, including ending last three undefeated (one no result and two victories).

While it will be an important home encounter for KKR, as it will be a must-win game for them, KKR are unlikely to break their latest winning combination. 

Meanwhile, CSK may go with few changes, especially work with youngsters, as their present goal is to look for the next season. Their batting line-up is the major concern along with their costly fielding mistakes.
