PM Narendra Modi highlighted the example of Vaibhav Suryavanshi in front of young sports persons of the country. PM Modi, during his virtual inaugural speech for the upcoming season of Khelo India Youth Games, spoke about the 14-year-old sensational talent from Bihar.
The Prime Minister of India, in his speech, advised young talents to work hard and keep their determination. Then, for example, he spoke about Suryavanshi. Modi acknowledged the hard work the batter has done to develop his game, and now he is getting sweet fruit from all the perseverance.
"We all have seen the outstanding performance of the son of Bihar, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, in IPL. Vaibhav has created such a big record at this young age. Behind his game, there is his labor for sure, but playing matches at different levels has also helped him," said Narendra Modi during his virtual speech, followed by, "It means 'jo jitna khelega, wo utna khilega (The more one plays, the more he will bloom)."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi stunned everyone when he scored a mind-blowing century in his third IPL match. Considering his age, the milestone he has touched is unthinkable. With his ton against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur, he shattered multiple IPL and T20 records. The left-handed batter became the fastest Indian cricketer to achieve an IPL century, overall in second place after Chris Gayle. The teenager made history at the IPL 2025 mega auction when he became the youngest player to confirm an IPL deal. Rajasthan Royals roped him in for INR 1.1 crore.

Vaibhav bagged an international century as well. He scored a 58-ball century for U19 India against Australia in a four-day match. He played a pivotal role for the side that reached the final of the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup in 2024. In the tournament, he made 176 runs at an average of 44.
