Romario Shepherd stole the spotlight at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium tonight, blasting the fastest fifty of IPL 2025 to power Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to a towering 213/5 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). His breathtaking knock—53 off just 14 balls—turned the game on its head in the final overs and left CSK shell-shocked.
RCB got off to a solid start after being asked to bat first. Veteran batter Virat Kohli was in dazzling touch, scoring 62 off 33 balls, while young Jacob Bitt provided excellent support with 55 off 33. The pair helped RCB race to a strong position before wickets started tumbling.
After the fall of the openers, RCB’s momentum took a hit. Devdutt Padikkal (17), Rajat Patidar (11), Jitesh Sharma (7), and Tim David (2) couldn't get going. The scoring rate dipped and CSK appeared to pull the game back with disciplined bowling through the middle overs.
