WATCH: Kieron Pollard run-out in unusual fashion during TSK vs MINY clash in MLC 2025
The West Indian batting giant ran himself out in a very bizarre way during the second match of the MLC 2025 against Texas Super Kings.

A very dozy stuff from MI New York batter Keiron Pollard caught him off guard as he was run out in a very bizarre manner during MINY's clash with Texas Super Kings (TSK) in the ongoing Major League Cricket (MLC) edition. The now-retired West Indian great got himself out while trying to stroll through to the other end in a rather casual manner. His dismissal had an immediate impact on the complexion of the run chase as MINY fell short by three runs.
Pollard added life to the MINY innings, following the dismissal of Bracewell inside the 14th over. He escorted his team from a very tricky situation and flipped the tables back in TSK by taking down Daryll Mitchell for four consecutive boundaries. The explosive West Indian all-rounder seemed to be motoring along nicely at 32 (15) up until he faced the penultimate ball of the 17th over.
Facing up to Mitchell this time, Pollard attempted a big heave across to the leg side but had no timing on it whatsoever. The ball trickled away to the open spaces on the leg side, and all Pollard could muster was a single. Disappointed with himself that he missed out on a scoring opportunity, Pollard reluctantly starts running to the other end to take a single. Unbeknownst to him, Mitchell had some other plans. Not only did he show good intent to get around the ball, but Mitchell also aimed accurately at the bowler's end stumps and ran Pollard out with a razor-sharp through. Pollard, who was trodding along to the other end at a slow pace, was taken by surprise and was seen miles outside his crease.

At the time of his dismissal, MI New York needed 27 runs in 18 deliveries. MINY went downhill from that point as two more run outs followed, involving Monak Patel and Trent Boult, leaving them agonizingly short of their target. Pollard played a whirlwind cameo of 32 at a scintillating strike rate of 200, involving five fours and one six. Unfortunately, he failed to apply the finishing touches, but his solitary six did manage to shatter a window inside the stadium.
