On Sunday, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders played against each other at Chepauk Stadium. This was the 61st league match of the Indian Premier League 2023. The skipper of the home team – MS Dhoni won the toss and chose to bat first. Kolkata Knight Riders displayed excellent performance and did not allow CSK batters to score big. Most of the bowlers of KKR bowled well, but Sunil Narine was exceptional. He conceded just 15 runs in 4 overs and took 2 big wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali.

MS Dhoni despite of having some discomfort with his knee was playing again tonight for his fans as this might be the last season of IPL that he is playing. Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja were playing till the last over, but to the luck of MSD fans, Jadeja got out on the 4th delivery of the 19th over.

Dhoni, who is still one of the best finishers at the age of 41 came to bat against the 25-year old bowler – Vaibhav Arora. On the second last delivery of the first innings, MS Dhoni was clean bowled by Vaibhav Arora but that did not count as the last delivery was a no-ball and therefore, the Dhoni was bowled on a free-hit.
