Kolkata Knight Riders Innings

KKR made the pursuit look easy. Openers Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane gave a fast start, with Narine making a swift 31. Rahane added 16, and Rinku Singh ended the match in style, hitting a six to win the game. KKR reached 107/2 in 10.1 overs, winning the match by a comprehensive 8-wicket margin. Match Highlights: CSK vs KKR — IPL 2025, April 11

The match was held at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. KKR had won the toss and decided to bowl first. CSK did not have a good day with the bat, though. They could only manage to score 103 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Vijay Shankar scored a top score of 29 runs, while Sunil Narine of KKR spearheaded the bowling effort with stunning figures of 3 wickets for 13 runs. Battling at 59/2, CSK suddenly found themselves at 79/9 due to losing regular wickets without managing any boundaries for a long time. Skipper MS Dhoni came to bat at no.9 and scored one off four balls before Sunil Narine trapped him for an lbw. While the umpire raised his finger, Dhoni showed his bat and immediately went for a review. 

In the review, there was a little but strong enough spike. However, the third umpire didn't feel that the spike was from the inside edge of Dhoni's bat. Denying any inside edge, the third umpire went for the ball-tracking that clarified a clear out for Dhoni as the decision was retained.
