In a gripping clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a 4-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025 Match 46 on April 27, 2025. Chasing 163 to win, RCB chased it down successfully in 18.3 overs with strong batting from Krunal Pandya, who was to score an impressive unbeaten 73 off 47 balls, whilst the DC batting was unable to handle the pressure. Let's look at the main causes of Delhi's defeat.

For starters, DC could not put together a match-winning total of 162/8 as they could not get significant partnerships, despite starts for KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs, and poor bowling while dew was present at a time during the batting innings that impacted the game and allowed RCB's Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli to dominate. RCB's batting had support from Kohli's 51 off 47 and a late flurry of runs from Tim David, who scored 19 off 5 balls, ensuring a steady rate of chase towards victory in an exciting match.

1. Insufficient Total on the Board

Delhi Capitals had a total of 162/8, but with the dew setting in during the second innings, 162 was an insufficient score. Axar Patel made comments after the match acknowledging they should've had another 10-15 runs, and it's true, RCB maybe didn't chase that target with ease, but with enough comfort that they had a comfortable 9 balls to spare at the end of the match.

2. Lack of Substantial Partnerships

Delhi Capitals had KL Rahul score a competitive 41 runs off 39 on his return to the lineup and made good starts with Tristan Stubbs, 34 runs off 18. The underlying issue was that DC players were unable to convert starts into significant partnerships, losing wickets at possible important times. In contrast, RCB made significant gains with a 100-run partnership off 81 deliveries from Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli, thwarting the DC bowling efforts throughout the innings.

3. Struggles with Bowling in Dew Conditions

The DC bowlers bowled alright in the first innings, but while they were able to hold down RCB in the first innings, the bowlers struggled to gain grip on the ball due to heavy dew in the second half of the match, and once the RCB batting group gained the ascendency, it became impossible because the RCB players, in particular, Krunal Pandya, belted the balls to the boundary very comfortably.

DC vs MI: Weather and Pitch Report

Delhi anticipates warm weather on April 27, 2025, with temperatures forecasted from 28 to 33°C and humidity levels expected to be 40-50%. The weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy with dew likely in the second half of the match, which will help the second team batting. The pitch is likely to support batting, as the base wicket should recover much wider, which will provide consistent bounce and carry. Fast bowlers such as Mitchell Starc (DC) and Josh Hazlewood (RCB) should benefit from early seam movement, while spinners such as Kuldeep Yadav and Suyash Sharma may find turn in the middle overs.

DC vs MI: Match Preview

As the Delhi Capitals go into a massive contest against a tenacious RCB, Delhi is riding high, winning six of their last seven matches. Delhi has also recently beaten RCB by six wickets in the recent face-off, driven by KL Rahul, who scored an unbeaten 93 (avg 54.67, SR 153.99). Additionally, DC has Jake Fraser-McGurk (205 SR in the powerplay), Tristan Stubbs, and an improvement with Axar Patel's captaincy. Importantly, DC has ended their stiff competition with Kuldip Yadav (14 wickets, 6.00 econ.) with Mitchell Starc (9 wickets) combining for a dangerous attack, but add prodigy Vipraj Nigam, who should be on film soon.

RCB will put up a fight, however, with the advantage of being on the road (10.5 RPO), prompting the use of big hitters front and back. K.L. Rahul (392 runs, 144.11 SR) is likely to set the tone from the start of the innings (162 SR during the first 10 balls) while adding some explosive hitters (Phil Salt, Tim David, and Captain Rajat Patidar) around him. The death should also be exciting with Jitesh Sharma and Dinesh Karthik. On the bowling side, Josh Hazlewood (8 wickets, 53 dots) commands a solid pace but should receive some support with the experience of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and some much-needed stabilization from Yash Dayal. Overall, a match made in heaven!

RCB scored a challenging target of 205, a score that, even if on a track, would always be a tough chase in IPL 2025 Match 42 on April 24 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In the end, it was Rajasthan Royals (RR) who lost to RCB by 11 runs, finishing up at 194/9 in 20 overs with a valiant effort.

RR struggled with their chase after losing their premier batsman early in the innings, which left them in a precarious position, making recovery even more difficult. RCB's bowling attack, led by Josh Hazlewood with a match-winning spell of 4/33, dismantled RR's top order and bottom order at the most opportune moments. RCB's batsmen, led by Virat Kohli's sensational 70 off 42 balls and supported by Devdutt Padikkal's 50 off 27 balls, bludgeoned the scoreboard to build the amazing score. RR struggled out of the blocks during the chase, and Hazlewood's aggressive spells, with support from Krunal Pandya (2/31) and Yash Dayal (1/33), were enough to stop RR from making a comeback to line RCB's win up in this brilliant game.

1. Inconsistent Middle-Order Performance

The Rajasthan Royals started strong courtesy of Yashasvi Jaiswal's blistering 49 runs off 19 balls, followed by Dhruv Jurel's methodical 47 off 34. After Jurel's dismissal, the middle order's collapse marked a major turning point in the game. After Jurel, no other batter went on to make 30 runs, and there were vital partnerships that simply were missing in the middle overs. The halting of momentum ultimately came back to haunt RR as the required run rate kept edging up. The lower-order batters then had too much to do in the death overs to achieve the 205-run target and fell short by 11 runs.

2. Josh Hazlewood's Match-Winning Spell

Josh Hazlewood (RCB) created magic with his performance as a pacer with 4 wickets for 33 runs in 4 overs. His disciplined line and length, and especially hard lengths, successfully dismantled the batting core of the Rajasthan Royals. He made key breaks at critical times to the developing partnerships of RR, breaking partnerships with set batters. Hazlewood was effective in taking wickets at the top and lower-order wickets so that RR could not build any momentum, which caused the game to be handed over directly to RCB.

3. Lack of Bowling Containment Early On

The Royals' bowling unit did not put the Royals under pressure early in the game. Virat Kohli's classy 70 (42) and Devdutt Padikkal's quickfire 50 (27) laid the foundations of a solid platform for the RCB. Sandeep Sharma and Jofra Archer were both expensive in the powerplay and kept giving bang-bang boundaries. The Royals couldn't stem the flow of runs up front, and as a result, this allowed RCB to post a formidable total of 205—a total that was always going to be difficult to chase on the Chinnaswamy pitch.

RR's bowlers Sandeep Sharma (2/45), Wanindu Hasaranga (1/30), and Jofra Archer (1/33) were all unable to make stops at the right time!

Rajasthan Royals Innings

While chasing 206, RR were able to conjure up a defensive effort to score 194/9! Yashasvi Jaiswal played a quick innings of 49 runs from 19 deliveries to set them off well. Dhruv Jurel contributed with 47 runs from 24 balls, and Nitish Rana added 28 runs from 34 balls. However, RR's middle order was unable to respond again and submitted in the final overs to RCB. RCB's bowling attack of Josh Hazlewood (4/33), Krunal Pandya (2/31), and Yash Dayal (1/33) sealed the match by containing 11 runs from victory!

He continued to mention his wonderful experience as part of teams like Sydney Sixers, Chennai Super Kings, RCB, and Australia. Important in the RCB bowling group was talking to each other and supporting each other in the bowling group. Rajat Patidar (RCB Captain): Patidar said that the bowlers showed courage to win after playing on an unexpected wicket. He said while RR had great batting, it was important to take wickets because this meant RCB could control the game, which turned out to be crucial towards the end.

Virat Kohli (RCB): Kohli said he was happy with the application of the guys and that they scored 205 on what he described as a tough pitch, compounded by the dew in the second inning. Virat described his role as anchor, supported by Devdutt Padikkal and David's finishing, before crediting the fans for their consistent support at Chinnaswamy.

Riyan Parag (RR Captain): Parag said the RR bowling was decent, but the batting was poor, especially against spinners, costing them the game. He stated intent was important, and learning from the mistakes made in the game was necessary, and pledged that in their future games, RR would play for pride and to keep the fans happy.

Is Internet’s biggest collab about to happen?]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/mr-beast-calls-out-virat-kohli-is-internet-s-biggest-collab-about-to-happen/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/mr-beast-calls-out-virat-kohli-is-internet-s-biggest-collab-about-to-happen/ Thu, 24 Apr 2025 15:33:33 GMT

In a viral moment that has sparked a frenzy on social media, content creator Mr Beast - who has an astonishing 387 million subscribers on YouTube - publicly invited Virat Kohli for a collaboration. On April 23, 2025, MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - took to X to say, “@imVkohli Hey! Anyway I could get you in a video? 👀,” hitting the internet at the height of the IPL 2025 season to widespread delight from fans. The posted tweet, which has already racked up close to 600,000 views, represents a massive amount of hype for what could happen if they were to collaborate.

Kohli has 271 million followers on Instagram, making him one of the most followed athletes in the world and a perfect target for MrBeast's signature high-energy, celebrity collaboration-heavy videos. MrBeast has collaborated with several major names, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Tom Brady, along with Indian creator CarryMinati, in videos that have produced viral moments and blur the lines between sport, entertainment, and the internet. This isn't the first time that MrBeast made it known he was interested in working with Kohli, having wanted to work with the cricketer for a while, which he stated in a discussion with Ranveer Allahbadia on The Ranveer Show in November 2024, not only because of the request from his fans, but also due to Kohli's sheer popularity in India.

As of the time of this collaboration proposal from MrBeast, Kohli is currently killing it during IPL 2025 with 392 runs scored in nine matches for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and his clout is only growing. A MrBeast collaboration would combine cricket and digital, most likely appealing Kohli's millions of cricket and sports fans and introducing what has historically been traditional sport to fans of the latest content, and potentially a new audience. Fans are speculating about what the video might look like in either a cricket challenge, a charity, or even a high-stakes competition, consistent with MrBeast's content style. Vida confirms that the internet is abuzz with excitement, and some are calling it a "dream collab."

What Could This Collab Look Like?

The collaboration possibilities for MrBeast and Kohli are limitless. Typical MrBeast videos feature crazy, over-the-top challenges such as survival in insane conditions or enormous giveaways. Kohli's cricketing skill and jock appeal could be included in the traditional MrBeast tone of video that is entertaining for everyone across the globe. For example, imagine Kohli going up against his regular competition in an obstacle course challenge with a cricket theme or perhaps Kohli advising MrBeast's crew on how to play and 'survive' a game against a surprise opposition. The merging of Kohli's keen athleticism and Mr. Beast's flamboyant entertainment style could open up endless opportunities for great content.

There is also the potential social and cultural impact this collaboration might have, bringing together the traditional cricket fanbase and the young, diverse YouTube audience. MrBeast’s recent visit to India for the promotion of his Feastables brand and the timeline of Kohli’s ambitions for his One8 lifestyle brand might align. As fans await anxiously for Kohli to respond to the video, one thing is for sure: if this happens, it will be a watershed moment in sports crossover and for the future of the internet.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) strong start in the ongoing IPL 2025 has sparked an increased demand for match tickets. Known for their dynamic batting lineup and high-energy playing style, RCB has consistently fallen short of winning the IPL trophy. However, their loyal fan base remains unwavering despite previous setbacks. With their current form showing promise, many fans are hopeful that this could be their season to secure the coveted title. As a result, ticket sales for RCB’s home games have reached unprecedented levels.

To meet the rising demand and provide a seamless experience for fans, Navi UPI, RCB’s official payments partner, has introduced a new ticketing initiative. Following the success of their first ticket sale window in March, Navi UPI has now launched a second exclusive 24-hour window. This allows fans to purchase tickets for RCB’s final three home games ahead of the general sale. The initiative aims to offer a smoother and more efficient way for fans to get their tickets.

The special window for RCB’s upcoming matches will ensure that fans can secure their seats without the hassle often associated with high-demand events. Navi UPI’s strategic approach to selling exclusive tickets has been well-received, as it allows supporters to access tickets before they become available to the general public. With this new initiative, RCB aims to keep its fan base engaged while maintaining a streamlined and user-friendly ticket-buying process for its eagerly awaited home games.

<![CDATA[[WATCH] IPL 2025: Tim David pranks Virat Kohli after team's victory over Rajasthan Royals]]> https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ipl-2025-tim-david-pranks-virat-kohli-after-team-s-victory-over-rajasthan-royals/ https://www.cricketwinner.com/cricket-news/ipl-2025-tim-david-pranks-virat-kohli-after-team-s-victory-over-rajasthan-royals/ Mon, 14 Apr 2025 11:02:18 GMT

In the recent past, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) seldom looked confident enough on the field to be an IPL champion. This year, the scenario is different. With the leadership of Rajat Patidar, RCB looks solid enough for a possible title shot. Performance on the field can have some impact off the field also.

RCB, now third in the points table after playing 6, is now experiencing an elated vibe from all corners of the dressing. In a video shared by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on social media, we can see a prank applied on Virat Kohli.

That's how David pranked Kohli

The plan to put Virat on complications was mainly planned by his teammate Tim David. David took a bat out from Kohli's bag and put it into his own kit. When Virat came back into the dressing room and checked his bag, he found that a bat was missing. Then he started to search for his lost item. In the video, we can hear Virat saying, "I counted my bats yesterday; it was seven. It's six now."

During the absence of former 'Captain Hot,' David on camera said, "I want to see how long it will take Virat to realize we have taken one of his bats." Virat did take very little time to realize that one of his bats was not in his kit bag.

Soon Kohli finds his bat in Tim David's kit, lying safe on a transparent cover. The entire room burst out in laughter witnessing this whole prank. Virat, at the end, said, "Sabko pata tha na (Everyone knew about it. Right?)"

Yesterday RCB won over Rajasthan Royals in an away match. It was a close encounter between these two teams. But Bengaluru was the better performer, better than Rajasthan. RCB's next match is scheduled for April 18, against Punjab Kings at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
