3. 1947, 1st Test: Australia won by an innings and 226 runs

In this sub-part of the listicle, the Indian cricket team scored the lowest total ever at The Gabba in Test cricket. India was bowled out for 58 in their first innings after Australia produced 382/8d at Brisbane in 1947. Captain Lala Amarnath led India's scoring with 22 runs, while Chandu Sarwate who made 12 runs, was the only batter to reach double figures.

Ernie Toshack, a left-arm medium, was Australia's main wrecker, with 5/2 bowling stats. After Australia's enforced follow-on, the Indian side were bowled out for 98 in their second innings, and the hosts won the first Test by an innings and 226 runs. Sir Donald Bradman led Australia to a 4-0 victory in the five-match Test series.
