In the fourth game of the IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals vs Lucknow Super Giants (DC vs LSG) has been scheduled. Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host this fixture on Monday evening (March 24).

Both teams will start their journey in the IPL 2025 with this fixture. Both teams have new captains for the IPL 2025, as Axar Patel will lead the Delhi Capitals, and the former DC captain Rishabh Pant, the most expensive buy in the IPL auction history, will play the captaincy role for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025. 

The IPL 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals failed to reach the Playoffs for the last three IPL seasons. After finishing in the fifth and ninth places in the 2022 and 2023 seasons, respectively, the Capitals finished in sixth place in the 2024 season.

Meanwhile, one of the newest IPL teams, Lucknow Super Giants, reached the Playoffs in their first two IPL seasons (2022 and 2023) but finished in seventh place in the last season (2024). Super Giants played Eliminators in their first two IPL seasons, from where they were eliminated in both those tournaments. 

In the IPL 2024 season, both Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants had the same 14 points, similar to the fourth-placed team Royal Challengers Bengaluru, but both had very low net run rates, which resulted in their elimination from the league stage.
