Porel displayed aggressive batting, smashing 58 runs off 33 deliveries, featuring 4 boundaries and 5 sixes, before being dismissed by Naveen-ul-Haq. Meanwhile, Hope contributed a steady 38 off 27 balls, maintaining a strike rate of 140.74.

Rishabh Pant made a quick fire 33 runs

Captain Rishabh Pant continued the momentum with a brisk 33 off 23 balls before being dismissed by Naveen-ul-Haq, who was the pick of the bowlers for Lucknow with figures of 4-0-51-2. The real star with the bat, however, was Tristan Stubbs, who played a scintillating knock, remaining unbeaten on 57 off just 25 balls, hitting three boundaries and four sixes. In retaliation, Lucknow Super Giants encountered difficulties right from the start. Ishant Sharma made early breakthroughs, dismissing captain KL Rahul for 5 and Quinton de Kock for 12, leaving Lucknow in a precarious position at 24 for 2. Marcus Stoinis briefly resisted with 5 off 7 balls before succumbing to Axar Patel, and Deepak Hooda was dismissed lbw by Ishant without scoring.
