LSG started the season strongly. Although they suffered a shocking one-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals in their season opener after dominating the game, they thrashed the IPL 2024 runners-up SunRisers Hyderabad by five wickets. Meanwhile, Punjab Kings smashed 243/5 in their season opener against Gujarat Titans and won by 11 runs. 

Despite some issues, both teams have earned confident starts, which is very important for a team in every IPL season. While some of the key LSG names are performing strongly, some are still finding their form, and the Punjab Kings have strong all-rounder names to make the franchise look very dangerous.
